This week we continue our series Jesus Said, looking at Matthew 6.5-15, and how to pray to God.

This week of Jesus Said, we look at the final verses of Matthew 5.43-48, and we are following up on last week's theme of revenge. This week looking at loving your enemy and the importance of this.

We continue our way through the Sermon on the Mount and we discuss revenge, Matthew 5.38-42. In this week's video we look at the importance of revenge and how to get even, but beware its a bait and switch.

Here's our teaching (on location) from 8/3/25.Jesus continues talking about how the ways of the world are backward, this time focusing in on the seriousness of the commitment of one another within the marital relationship. In a society where divorce was pretty easy to do, Jesus challenges us to pursue the ideal where divorce ceases to be a thing. But He also leads us later in Matthew (and in community with the rest of the Scriptures) to understand that grace still exists. While it is not a license to do whatever we want, it does meet us in our darkest of moments, including that of when a divorce takes place.

Last week we started looking at the specific examples that Jesus shares in way of the “new” Torah, or reinterpretation of the old by reading His words on the danger of anger. Equally as devastating is what Jesus addresses next. In fact, this one might be an even bigger issue for people today because of how “private” we can keep it. Let’s pick up where we left off in Matthew 5, down at verse 27.

We are in week six as we continue our series: Jesus Said. We are diving deeper into the Sermon on the Mount, looking at Matthew 5.21-26, and the importance of working through things before they spiral out of control.

We continue our look at the teachings of Jesus here in Matthew 5. Today, in setting up for the rest of the Sermon on the Mount, we look at "the Jesus effect" and how the person of Jesus affects our understanding and faithfulness to God's work, particularly that found in what we call the Old Testament.

This week we continue where we left off last week. Jesus doesn't just say His disciples are the "salt of the earth", He also calls them the "light of the world".

Today we jump right into the next part of Jesus' sermon on the mount. Being a disciple of Jesus brings great blessings and benefits for the who wear Jesus' name. Yet it also carries with it great responsibility as being the "salt of the earth".
