You'll never believe it, but we've actually come back to finish off this Project POD for good. Or at least for now. For Dirty Pair FLASH, anyway! That's right, here it is, the first of five hot new episodes about the final five episodes of the Dirty Pair FLASH OVA series. Have I always capitalized FLASH like that in these descriptions? I don't know and there's no way to ever find out for sure.

Anyway, Kei gets the spotlight in this episode as she learns how to raise a baby on the side of a mountain, while Yuri gets to play with all the new toys that the Pair acquired after blowing up the Lovely Angel at the end of the second series. That includes a brand new dang ol' Lovely Angel! It looks cool as hell! Let's all agree that this rules. The rest of the episode is all very straightforward. Twists? Turns? Not necessary, there's guns and explosions now. Did we enjoy it? Probably more than we expected!

Am I dreading next episode? Maybe just a little, but maybe it's not so bad? The only way to find out is to tune in next time (in two weeks, heavens, hells, and various other planes allowing) and listen!

We've done it, we've made it to the end of Dirty Pair Flash 2! Let's dive in and discuss an android assassin, an out-of-control spaceship loaded up with high explosives, Yuri's expert piloting skills, and Kei's sharpshooting prowess. It's the hosts' birthday, and we got ourselves a podcast that published on time! Hooray for us!

Also, we got the absolute maximum number of weird faces allowed in a 24 minute OVA, and you can see a good number of them on our wretched bluesky account, because I got carried away while I was editing this podcast. Understandable, I think. This episode dials down the seriousness and dials up the comedy of the Pair as they do their level best to bring a con artist to justice and get their just reward: a fancy dinner together at Trois Poires. I don't have to try any harder with this podcast description because it's my birthday!

We've done it, we've managed to get an episode out on our two-week cadence again, and doesn't it feel good to be back in the swing of things? Of course it does, don't bother answering that. The second (very good) episode of the second (very good) season of Dirty Pair Flash is full of mystery, monarchs, and music, and Kei and Yuri are here to get to the bottom of whatever the hell it is that happens at a prestigious girls' boarding school when you're seventeen (or pretending to be? It's unclear). We had a good time talking about this and you're sure to have a good time hearing about it.

I should warn you all up front that there is discussion of multiple suicides in this one (it comes with the whole ghost story territory, I'm afraid), so if you are at all sensitive to such things, you are forewarned. Next episode doesn't have any of that in it, just a weird conman and a lovely dream. I'd say more about it, but that would ruin the point of the next episode!

Welcome back to our (hopefully) more regularly scheduled podcast, where we decided that things work better when we do one episode at a time! Well it isn't pretty (the audio file) but we managed to hold Audacity to task long enough to edit down and publish this, our final episode dealing with the first series (season?) of Dirty Pair FLASH! It's hella climactic, the stakes are hella high, and the universe at large... doesn't actually care what the man on the television is ranting about. It's some of the best work that this first season does, and it wraps everything up as well as you can wrap a thing up in six episodes. Also, it turns out we liked this season! Another win for giving things a second chance, I guess. Dirty Pair FLASH season 1: it's better than you remember it being!

Next up: the season that we remembered liking a lot! I've just watched the first episode in preparation for our imminent recording session for this season, and I gotta say: It's good! Please look forward to us going back to the one episode per podcast format, maybe. It'll be a surprise to you, and to us, when we record! Who can say what we'll decide to do?

Our trip through the first season of Dirty Pair FLASH continues apace as we discuss Twin Peaks, Professor Wattsman, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, circa 1996 or so. I guess we also talk about Dirty Pair FLASH in this one too, somehow.
