Welcome to the exciting first part of an exciting series.

In 2010, I was part of a group of people who were asked and hired to help with the recovery and response to some of the BP Oil Spill Cleanup.

In part 1, we begin to lay out how we came about being involved and some of the early staging and structure of the event.

We also share another unexpected event that changed our plans quickly (welcome to the disaster industry, right?)

In this week's episode, we browse through discussions about a few of the international jobs that I worked on. The challenges and rewards of these types of experiences last a lifetime. While they are different, they remind us that most of what we do is the same.
