The stealth mission gets even more chaotic, if possible. Sile blows up Tyr. Kang almost dies again and collects forensic evidence in his leg. Harriet eats people to death. Birgit tries to be nice to some cultists. The Gang puts yet another person into a bag, which was at one point the thing they were most aggressively against, but whatever.
The Gang watch a fantasy PowerPoint and get some clarity on theology. The next leg of their journey starts stealthy but devolves into the usual wholesale slaughter with no one really understanding what’s going on and multiple Gang members nearly perishing.
Back on board the SS Barleywalker, our valiant heroes send some texts and workshop potential options at great length.
Turns out Dothros is a silly place, and the Gang decides not to stay there to get chased around or otherwise menaced by various factions. On their way out of town, they do a deal with an old ally.
The Gang finally finds their quarry, but once again comes up short on answers. Kang has another shot at interrogation. Birgit hulks out. Sile takes on a peppermint butler. Harriet is a massive theropod. Takeshi meets an old friend. Takeshi’s old friend meets another old friend. Dothros police are the worst.
Evocative imagery abounds (reeking! fecal! mucilage!) as the Gang explores the twisting, sludgy bowels of Samalaine’s deadly sewer maze and mostly just gets explosively shat on for their troubles.
The Gang’s plan to nab Samalaine goes perfectly, and they get him right where they want him. Sile commissions some sweet new armour.
