  • Cop Rock Ep. 7 - Cop-A-Feeliac

If these Cops are Rockin’… DO COME A KNOCKIN’!! Because it’s time for an episode of COP ROCK!

Justin and Steve are back on the beat and back to covering their favorite TV show of all time: Steven Bochco’s hard-edged cop drama that’s also a full-on musical.

Episode 7: Cop-A-Feeliac is the grittiest, darkest episode yet. But as the boys discover, even in the darkest hour of Cop Rock, there’s still time to dance a little… and sing A LOT.

  • Jupiter Ascending - The Worst of the Best

It’s time to talk about Dog Star Man—and we don’t mean Stan Brakhage’s classic experimental film series. We’re talking Tatum and JUPITER ASCENDING!

Justin and Steve launch a new series, The Worst of the Best, a deep dive into the biggest whiffs by some of the greatest filmmakers of all time. And the boys kick things off with the Wachowski siblings’ JUPITER ASCENDING.

A modern sci-fi fairy tale from the creators of THE MATRIX sounds great on paper. But somehow, along the way, that idea was squashed into an overstuffed, overcomplicated mess featuring some of the LOUDEST and smallest acting choices the boys have ever seen.

Blast off with us as we launch a mission to discover exactly what happened to what was meant to be a franchise starter, and how Lana and Lilly went from Neo and Trinity to Rollerblading Dog-Man and Toilet Lady-Princess.

  • BIRDEMIC 3 with Rollie Williams - Commentary Track

The birds are back!!! And we couldn’t be less excited about it. But we ARE excited to have Rollie Williams (Climate Town) back on the show.

And not only is Rollie back for his 3rd Birdemic movie, but he’s here for the launch of a brand-new format for the pod… a commentary track!

Watch along with the boys as they watch Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle for the very first time. Or maybe just listen along, ’cause this entry in the series SUCKS. Thank God our boy Alan Bagh shows up at the end to save the day and make this steaming pile somewhat tolerable.

  • THE PREDATOR - Sequel Summer

Sequel Summer might be coming to an end, but not before Justin and Steve record a sequel to their episode about the sequel to PREDATOR, PREDATOR 2, and talk about one ugly motherf*&#@r of a movie: THE PREDATOR.

But unlike the Predator franchise, we’re actually bringing back our big star! Legendary radio host (and Justin’s dad), David Jones!

David and the boys crash-land back in 2018, when the now-thriving Predator franchise was in danger of being wiped off the face of the Earth. They’ll hunt for answers as to why this stacked cast and crew couldn’t hit any of their targets, and reveal how the studio behind this mess decided to self-destruct an entire finished third act and start from scratch.

  • BLUES BROTHERS 2000 - Sequel Summer

The Blues Brothers are back! Well, at least one of them is. But this time, there’s a kid! And everyone else is old!

This week, Justin and Steve put on their dark shades and sunglasses to cover 1998’s BLUES BROTHERS 2000. But it wouldn’t be a true Blues Brothers episode unless we put the band back together, so this week the boys are joined by musician (and Steve’s actual former bandmate) Stephen Weinheimer.

The boys go on a mission from Quigley to try their best to understand one of the most misguided and unnecessary sequels of all time-a love letter to boomer culture that is also somehow supposed to appeal to the kids of the late ’90s. The results are more awkward than a 50-year-old Dan Aykroyd trying to dance.

  • N-Gage - NOKIA's Worst Product

Today, the original Nokia cell phone is more of a fable than a product, but back in 2003, the cell phone market wasn’t yet dominated by a black rectangle, and ingenuity was everywhere.

Which is why the former pulp manufacturer Nokia launched the N-Gage, a cellphone/gaming-device combo, in an effort to take down a little-known company called Nintendo.

And since you’ve probably owned a Game Boy or DS at some point in your life and have never heard of the N-Gage, you probably know who came out on top.

BUT! If you were one of the few who got this for Christmas instead of a Game Boy Advance, you probably know that it had impressive graphics and a killer game selection.

It’s just too bad that pretty much every other aspect of it sucked.

  • Cop Rock Ep. 6 - Oil of Ol' Lay

Once again, we’ve got more cops, more rock, and more Randy Newman sweating his butt off while playing the piano. It’s Cop Rock Episode 6 - Oil of Ol’Lay.

This may be Justin and Steve’s sixth Cop Rock assignment, but this time the chief is sticking them with a new partner and resident musical expert, Ellen Gutoskey. She’s here to help the boys understand how musical logic works and conduct a full investigation into whether those rules hold up in the world of Cop Rock.

Ellen is in for one hell of a ride-along as the sixth installment of Steven Bochco’s hard-edged cop show/musical delivers some of its most outlandish musical numbers yet, and quite possibly the cringiest scene in the entire series. Giddy up.

  • New Coke (Coke II) - A History

Did you know that Coca-Cola once changed the flavor of Coke and called it New Coke? Well, if you were a red-blooded American soda drinker in the mid-1980s, you definitely knew about it, and you were most likely very angry that it happened.

This week, Justin and Steve go on a globe-trotting soda taste test while exploring one of the weirdest corporate decisions ever made in an effort to fix a problem that didn't exist. It was a misguided move that almost brought down the most popular soft drink of all time. Will they find answers? Probably. Will they get tummy aches? Definitely.

Show Note: Nukie is suffering from cyclosporiasis and is replaced by Ellen Gutoskey as producer.

  • JAWS 3D - This time, it's terrible

IT'S SEQUEL SUMMER!! And we're kicking it off with a sequel to Steven Spielberg's generation-defining hit, JAWS. It's JAWS 3-D! That's right! The shark is back. Or it's a new shark... we're not sure. Either way, it's here with a boatload of cheap '80s 3-D thrills designed to make you scream but more likely to leave you laughing.

Justin and Steve put on their wetsuits to explore the deepest reaches of this almost totally forgotten sequel, one so bad that the people who made the abysmal JAWS: THE REVENGE decided to ignore it completely.

This one is as dumb as it gets, but it's also a lot of fun if you're into Oktoberfest-themed water-ski shows and silly, cheap thrills.

And remember, the third dimension is TERROR! (It's actually depth.)

  • An Evening With Justin & Steve - Welcome to Us

Nukie is on vacation this week, so Justin and Steve are doing something a little different.

Instead of the boys taking a deep dive into a DISASTERPIECE, they're letting you take a deep dive into them!

It's the first AN EVENING WITH JUSTIN & STEVE. The boys will interview each other about their own personal artistic disasters, disappointing childhood toys, calamitous family vacations, and whatever else they feel like talking about.
