Red Cow podcaster and writer Emily Brinkmeyer guests on Discount Film School to discuss her background in copy editing, writing, and now, editing/laying out Frankie’s filmmaking book, “More Weight: The Making of Having Fun Up There (and Other Filmmaking Tales).”

Screenwriting and animation student and web series producer Ricky Downes III joins to talk about slapstick, character work, his love of all things mallard, and his developing web series, “Conservative Art School.”

Henrique Couto, director of Babysitter Massacre, Haunted House on Sorority Row, Depression: The Movie, and many more, joins the show to talk distribution, experiences with reviewers, pushing through depression to make art, and much more.

EJ Massa comes on to talk about his dozens of hilarious Internet animations, interactive media and video games, sketch comedy styles, and cameras.

Euphoric and slurry, the housemates (Frankie, Nina, and JR) have a long, chilled out, and generally aimless wrap up podcast, congratulating one another on an amazing job well done, and detailing how the last day of filming went completely wrong and turned out completely right.

The cast and crew start the wrap party early, replaying the day’s events in good spirits, surrounded by food and prior to watching the entire series of Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace. The day’s shoot involved filming at a location that fell through earlier in the week…and very nearly fell through again.
