When she enlists hot, gorgeous, 100% alpha male Jase Burns for a custom photo shoot for a romance novel cover, she quickly discovers that he only took the job to get close to her. But her painful divorce has made her wary of men, and especially one who is eight years younger than she is.
The moment Jase sets his sights on beautiful, sexy Kendall, he wants her. Despite their mutual attraction, she's rejected his every advance. But Jase loves a good challenge, and one steamy, seductive night at The Players Club changes everything between them.
Kendall has never experienced such overwhelming passion, or been pursued so tenaciously. Jase is addicting, in every way, and she soon finds herself falling for a man who doesn't fit into her ideal future. Can Jase convince Kendall to let go of her past and take a risk on a second chance at love - with him?

So much more than just physical attraction!
I loved this book! I thought the narration was great and the narrator (Lia Langola) added so much emotion to the characters and book. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series (mention of some characters from previous books is extent of tie-in). I thought it was neat how Kendall was older than Jace. This book is so much more than sex, but it does include it. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was provided with this book upon my request as a gift and have voluntarily written this review. This book is definitely worth listening to again. I enjoyed the subtle humor in the book too!
once is not enough so true it's my second time
Loved it didn't want it to finished every time he.claimed her she was awesome awesome
This is my favorite book of the series so far!
Kendall Shaw loves her job as a boudoir photographer, she constantly refuses the advances of Jase Burns, mainly cuz he's 8 years younger than her and she's ready to get married and start a family. When Kendall decides to spend one night being auctioned at the Players Club, the last person she expects to place the highest bid is Jase.
After spending one amazing night together, Kendall decides she can have a fling with Jase, but when they both start to develop deeper feelings, the time comes to call it quits, even thought it's not what either of them want to do.
Lia Langola is one of my favorite narrators! The way she brings the story to life with emotion and humor, keeps me captivated and along for the ride.
Like a Candy Bar Not A Lot to It But So Good
Kendall (female) was burned by her 1st husband. After paying his way through school, he dumped her for a younger, newer model. Still wielding from the betrayal she guards her heart from everyone. Jase has been trying every angle to break into her self-imposed wall. He comes up with the perfect solution.
Kendall receives an anonymous invitation for the Players Club auction (for a good cause, I'm sure.) She [obviously] doesn't know who sent it, suspecting it is one of her meddling friends, but she decides to go ahead and try it. One evening with a stranger would be fun, right?
Guess who the high bidder is? Yep, our hero. Can one night of her fantasies with Jase exorcise the thoughts and lust she's experiencing?
Lia Langora is one of the best female narrators I've heard.
