Awful

The narrator was so dull I actually fell asleep. I couldn't even follow the story it was like listening to a child read. The story from what I did hear was not that impressive and did not grab my attention. A waste of a credit.

needs 2 narrators

the story line is great. but with so many main characters the narrator just couldn't pull off 4 different voices without sounding the same. needed at least a male narrator as well.!!!

Pretty good book, bad narrator

The book was pretty good, but it just seems that the narrator was a monotone and had no inflection. She was just reading words. There was no excitement in the book.

Could be more.

If you're looking for you're typical sex filled shifter romance you've found it. Unfortunately it doesn't offer more than that. I found myself wanting the author to develop the story more, especially at the end. It seems to end abruptly. Also the narration sounds a little robotic and odd at times. Overall I think it could be a good story if the author went back to do a rewrite.

All I can say is this book is really hot and is one of my favorites now. To my followers you will love this book if you like books with detailed sex scenes and men that feel like they can't live without one particular women. FYI He is and addict and has found his Top Line Heroine.

The wittiest friends-to-lover romance!

I really enjoyed this story, and it was almost entirely due to the best witty dating banter EVER! Yes, it was very, very sexy, but the authors did a great job in balancing the sex with the plot and other important parts of a complete story.

There's a bit of a mystery of sorts, or an unknown, and it unfolds at the right pace and comes as bit of a surprise.

The only downside was the narrator sounding the same when portraying Reagan and Evan. So sometime I wasn't sure who was speaking.

This story was almost a perfect 5 for me. I was really disappointed to see there were no other Audible stories by this pair of authors.

Erotic & Carnal!

I loved that the female was strong & sexy. There were a lot of detailed carnal sex scenes, secrets by many, humor, and romance. I had some difficulty with male narrator's female voice & female's inner thoughts. I would rewind 30 seconds a few times to confirm if it was female speaking or her inner thought. I enjoy hearing his alpha male voice. Worth my credit.

A real yawn fest

The story was predictable, boring and juvenile. A good read for a teenaged girl. I skipped through 6 chapters to get this horrible book over with.

When Addiction Becomes Love!

Would you listen to A Desperate Man again? Why?

Jonathan James smokey voice captures the torment, torture and struggles that are Evan James perfectly. A highly recommended listen if you want to follow through this man's journey from addiction to love.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Evan and Reagan are the best combination of playful, sexy and deep. There interactions from the minute they meet are explosive. The storytelling is balanced perfectly. It is hard not to love both of these character's and all their strengths and weaknesses equally!

Which scene was your favorite?

As steamy as the entire book was, one of the best moments happened simply when Evan and Reagan hold hands on their road trip. You could feel the shift in their relationship in that moment. Reagan was Evan's calm.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Too hot to handle, yet so much more.

Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine do a fabulous job of bringing these characters to life, Jonathan James gives them a voice. This book is so much more than what you think it starts out to read.

Erotic

But confusing. There is no real explanation for what happened to her. The story with the artist is good but has no conclusion for Madison.

Some dreams are worth.... everything.

What are dreams made of? Some say that dreams are wishes or hopes from within that we never quite hold in the real world... Dreams are, when you think about it, an integral part of the Succubi in all of their forms. What is a more thoughtful concern is; what if that dream is more than a dream? What if it is the means to change a life, heal a soul, and in the end, allow someone to find closure when they never could before?

What if. What if you found you were the means to that end? What if you had no choice in answering the call? What if you knew what you had to do, had the power to just make it happen? Would you do so or would you actually do something good?

It is, in the end, something that can bring about something wonderful... if you try...

Madison is a self absorbed woman who really doesn't care much about anything or anyone save her own gratification. And she does so up until things go very wrong and she finds herself in the presence of a Succubus Queen. Madison learns that her past has set her upon a future that she didn't expect and that means.... she is now a Succubus. But what does that mean? How does she handle it? And what happens when she discovers what it truly means to be a Succubus? She learns that her own needs aren't what matters any more, but the souls she touches are. Life lesson number one, you aren't the most important thing in the universe Madison.

I think the first thing I have to say is that I didn't like Madison at the beginning of the story. Her attitude, her style, everything that she was rubbed me the wrong way. Now, to be clear, that was before she... well... let's call it turned a corner when she met the Succubus Queen Catalyna, but I'll get back to her a little later. Madison's attitude gets an adjustment, a really needed one and that was the point at which I found that I started to like her more. She isn't perfect, but then she really isn't perfect in a lot of ways that she discovers through her lessons with Catalyna, meeting Sean, and finding her way through what becomes the first time she touches another soul and learns about their needs. Life lesson number two, there is always someone that can teach you a think or two.

It's actually an interesting moment when she realizes that she cannot do what she wants to, or could do in controlling or forcing Sean to do or be what she knows he wants to be. That brings me to Sean. From the moment we meet him in the story there is something that haunts him and continues to do so. What I liked was that the answer to that mystery doesn't come until the very end of the story... and it's perfect.
