If the stories are for horny frat boys, its ok.

I couldnt finish the book. Technically,too many repeated words and phrases like "pussy" and "All the right curves". Not enough use of metaphors or similes. The characterizations are uncompelling, lacking depth. The female narration is too brash, too hard. Needs dynamics.

The situations are too generic for the listener to be invested in. Id like to think that lesbians (first time or not) have a variety of looks and backgrounds. This might as well be two girls and one story. This book needed more time to develop.

Mildly provocative short w/ Sleazy main character

My overall score is actually more like a 3.75.

This is my first taste of this author, but it might not be my last. This book is nothing but an intro, a short picture of what might be ahead if you continue to the next book. Its the ultimate cringe-worthy cliffhanger book. I dont know how interested I am to continue to the next book, but this book got me interested enough to investigate the next one. This very short story provides foundational aspects of Logans current love-life and pursuits and some info on peripheral characters in his life, like his sister and his friend, Caleb.

And the narrator did a good job, enough to also make me consider continuing to the next book. But this book is not for you if you dont like an incomplete story and practically no answers.

I must add that the sleaziness of the main character, Logan, is contributing most to my doubts about continuing the series. The other side of that is that he has some good qualities too. He appears to be a great father, mature even though hes a sleaze when it comes to his romantic entanglements or the lack thereof, since he only pursues sex. And hes a good businessman, honest with the women he has sex with by not leading them on, and the sleaze factor is somewhat explained, though other options, less sleazy were also an option. Finally, he seems to be considerate of his family and supportive of them.

This story is short, so, in my opinion theres not a LOT of sex. Theres some, but theyre all pretty quick and little detail is provided. Most of the sex words center on the male parts. Pu**y is used only once I think, but other terms like, moist center or used instead. And I think there were only 3 sex scenes. One was fellatio, one was a wall quickie, one was some finger and breast play on a woman and thats it, I think.

Title Character's Accent is Horrible

Would you try another book from Angela Castle and/or Jennifer Cliff?

i don't think so. I enjoy unusual stories with aliens and other different characters but the story was predictable but the narration made it extremely difficult to listen to.

I was not impressed with the narrator's voice. she sometimes sounded more computer than human and also her Australian accent was terrible.

Warriors of Kelon series.

What did you love best about Abducting Alice?

The story is one of my favourites and I like the whole series. Alice is the first to make the change from Earth to Kelon. She finds love with an amazing person on a new world in the midst of inter-galactic war.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Abducting Alice?

The best moments are Alice's rescues and teaching Kerr about love, human style.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator is terrible at an Australian accent. I hope she is not signed for the whole series. This should be re-recorded by someone who can read the Australian dialogue properly so Alice and her sister Tara sound like they come from Sydney and are different people. Alice is well educated and well traveled while Tara is not. The same problem occurs in the second book and in the introduction to the third book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, some of the scenes between Kerr and Alice and then when he rescues her a second timefrom the one who has chained her.

This accent was almost enough to make me turn off the book. It is very disappointing when a story you like is so badly done.

Would you consider the audio edition of Abducting Alice to be better than the print version?

I bought this book when it came out and was delighted to see that it came out in audio format. The audio version is unabridged so it's exactly like the book but I was disappointed in the narrator.

What other book might you compare Abducting Alice to, and why?

There are a few alien abduction books out and about including fantastic works as Grim by M.K. Eidem and Jo's Journey by S.E.

Terrific Paranormal Story

This was my first book by Louisa Bacio and it was a terrific read. What a way to introduce three different paranormal characters in one story and I was captivated by their relationship from the start. I loved vampire Lawrence so much and his existing relationship with werewolf, Trevor was so hot. Enter Lily, an "untapped" witch and this threesome exploded into an exciting relationship that had my heart racing as they worked together to destroy the demon that was after Lily. All three had an incredible connection with each other from the beginning and bonded due to similar circumstances in their life. The author did a great job developing each character and giving readers background information that made us care about what happens to them. The sex between all three of them was scorching hot and you couldn't help but root for them to get a happy ending. I'm thrilled to have discovered another wonderful author to add to my reading list.

Great story!

Great read! I loved the interaction betweeen Trevor and Lawrence,a werewolf and vampire, that have a long term romantic relationship and Lily, the third wheel and that they take under their wings and into their bed. Their mystical powers combine for sizzling sex scene and great action. The story is tight and the author sucks you in quickly and doesn't let you go until the end. Can't wait for her next book.

Great Characters and a Fun READ

This is my First paranomal erotic book and I was happy that I choose to read it. I usually read very mild love stories or historical fiction, this was diffently not a book I would have normally picked up. But, I have to say I am happy I did. The characters are Fun, SEXY and romantic. I really enjoyed the love triangle and their personalities. I look forward to reading the next in the series by Louisa Bacio.

Fun, quirky read

Lawrence Justice and Trevor Pack are the quintessential odd couple--an ancient vampire and a young werewolf who run a niche book store by night and share a bed by day. Then comes Lillianna Anima, who is desperately seeking answers and acceptance. Luckily for her, Law and Trevor are all kinds of helpful and accepting.

This is a fun read so long as you aren't a nit-picky reader. I loved the quirky names and the puns come a mile-a-minute. Just try saying "Lillianna Anima" five times fast! The plot was fresh without being too out there and the romantic element was well thought-out. It would have been a four-star book in the hands of a good editor who knows the genre a little better.
