BRIEF SUMMARY

Tara is a bit frustrated with her perfect husband who seems to not do anything special in the bedroom, not even masturbate as well as never shared his sexual fantasies with her. On a mission, she snoops until she eventually stumbles upon John's little secret, his explicit phone conversations.

THOUGHTS

Slippery when wet, perfect wording for this novella. This would definitely go in the category of (try-sexual); if you're adventurous, then try it. In this novella, you experience a couple's sexual fantasies and awakenings floats to the surface. Being a frustrated wife trying to communicate with her husband to open up about his fantasies, Tara definitely learns a few things and did a few things that she wouldn't normally do. With the help of her best friend Kelly, things become a bit more interesting. Though this was an enjoyable read, I didn't care much for the storyline. The story was written in Tara's POV, and with a story such as this, I surely wanted to know what John was thinking at certain points in the story. With Tara's POV in focus, that causes me to feel how Tara felt, frustrated. I also found that some of John's actions got me a little upset. Nevertheless, with the story's kinkiness and sexual escapades found within (95%) ninety-five percent of the book, erotica readers will not be disappointed.

Thought I would like this more than I did

When I read the excerpt for this story, which was for the scene in the garage after the party, I really thought I would love the intensity of this story. It was definitely intense but the story wasn't as realistic to me as it was to other reviewers. I understand the Madonna/Whore Complex so that part of the story I did find to be very realistic. The way John can only see Tara as the sweet and innocent type is pretty common. Since Tara is the woman he is spending the rest of his life with and will inevitably become the mother to his children, he doesn't want to think of her as a naughty vixen.

Leah Brooke...you have disappointed me

I have been an avid reader of Leah Brooke for some time now, and I am seriously upset with this latest story. It was obviously written in a hurry, with the story and characters undeveloped and unendearing. Not only did I not like Elizabeth (who is annoyingly undecisive, stubborn, unforgiving, and adamently against having a relationship with the two men who will do absolutely anything for her and her daughter--all because of something stupid that happened in the past, and even though they apologized again and again), but I can't stand the snot-nosed brat that is her daughter. She is constantly whining, complaining, and demanding, and everyone is in absolute awe over her like she is some "little angel". Nope, not endearing one bit; if I were Chandler and Hayden, I'd run far, far away.

As for Hayden and Chandler, they were practically the same person, only Chandler didn't get to talk as much.

The sex was so-so, unusually soft for an erotic romance (no imagination whatsoever). Elizabeth gave it up pretty quickly too, not even trying to stop Chandler when he seduced her. And afterwards, she still stubbornly tried to put up a fight against them. She was convinced (though I still don't know why) that they were doing it out of obligation, and she didn't want to get her heart broken again. Sound a little weak? My words don't even begin to describe how terrible this book really is.

Love Dakota Series

Totally recommend this book. I love the whole Dakota Series. The women aren't pushovers and the men are super HOT!!!!

Love this sexy read!

Leah Brooke is a new author for me. I loved this story! She works the characters well, weaves a good story, and you feel connected. It begins a bit fast, but was necessary to the story. I was so tuned into the erotic sex scenes, I was surprised at myself. I got the other books in this series also. That shows how much I liked them. Enjoy!

Selena Kitt delivers some seriously hot short stories in this confessional. A little something for everyone's taste or kink. A great short read.

Purpose Driven

This book is not the hottest book you will read, but it delivers the advertised purpose. It's the "confessions" of the author. It's not supposed to be the hot, fantasy driven stories that people are used to reading. Yes there is some hotness to it, but it's NOT the hottest book you'll.............but that's by design. What this book does do is show the inspiration of the author for her other works of ART. You can now absolutely see the connection between the author's personal experience and the art of her fantasy books that she has created. It provides that insight background to her stories that many authors often lack. Well done in it's intentions in not taking away from the rest of her stories.

Not my favorite Selena Kitt

I really don't know what I expected, but I didn't really expect this. The stories were so-so, maybe because they were supposed to be "true confessions". I've loved everything that I've read from Selena Kitt, but not this. I think it was over-priced at over $3.

Thank goodness for Nick J. Russo

I have a thing about shifter romance novels.... I LOVE THEM. The whole mate connection, one and only true bonding love, and HEA always make me happy. This novella-- and yes, I'm calling it a novella because it's terribly short-- wasn't awful, but it certainly wasn't amazing. I liked the concept of the 'too young to be mated' theme, and I was excited to see where the storyline was going... unfortunately, it just didn't 'grab' me. I wanted more angst, more drama.... essentially more conflict. So, although I hate to admit it, the book ultimately bored me. HOWEVER, Nick J. Russo, is a damn good narrator, and so his voice saved the day. I did buy book 2. (I thought the series would amuse me like Marcy Jack's shifter series always do... so, I will write a review for that one also, but take it from me... one of these novellas is enough. Save your money, definitely do NOT use a credit, and find another shifter novel for your listening pleasure.

Could happen

This is my second erotic by Chase and I like her writing. This was not for me, but I can see it would be for others. Her writing is smooth and believable. There really isn't anything crude or over the top. I also believe it can be enjoyed by men or women. Chase walks that fine line between erotic and porn, mostly erotic. I enjoyed her book, Sometimes You Just Want to Fu@@.

Saucedo is okay as a narrator, she does probably 90% of the erotic audio.

Writing & Narration Were A Jack Pot For Eroticism!

When the couple entered a strip club in Vegas, the wife's observations and thoughts about the strippers were interesting, enlightening, and exciting.

The empathetic wife, being open and willing to play around with her hubby.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The wife wondered if the strippers ever became aroused while dancing for people. Even though she reasoned that they probably didn't because they danced for many people every day, she still wondered if (hoped that) she and her husband would be the exception.

She wanted the stripper to enjoy performing as much as she enjoyed watching. That made for some hot build up to the sex scene.

As an audio production company like Audible, I thought the stories would have sound clips, multiple voice actors, and background music.

If logistics stop your engine, don't get.

What would have made The Dragon's Virgin Sacrifice better?

Sex scene was nothing out of the ordinary. What kept me from really enjoying the book was the logistics. How can a creature with legs the size of tree trunks be able to mate with a human?
