Solid Narration but a poor story

Ill review the story itself first. Then Ill review the narration. So work with me here.

The found the story in and of itself to be very dull. It ran far too long. It should have been a couple chapters shorter. The reason why I say this, is because there can only be so much sex before you start to repeat yourself, and the effect of the sex scenes dull considerably.

Yes its hot to read about a big breasted woman being skull-f***ed, jizzed on and f****d hard in the @$$. But when it happens every other page you start not to care. The story should have been shorter, and with far less sex. If it had been it would have been great. Why? Because you have well-developed characters and a few sex scenes highlighting their day-to-day. Not well-developed characters drowning in the same sort of sex scene over and over and over again.

The writer is talented, I just think he/she got a little excited with this story and couldnt stop writing it. I will check out another of this writers stories. I never judge an author by one book alone.

The story itself gets a 2 out of 5 stars

The story was made bearable however by the talents of Kitty Velour. She made an average story hot. She wasnt the best Ive ever heard, because Ive been spoiled by some of the best, but she was damn good and I will listen to more of her work.

I felt Kitty had the right tone for the story, but I like my erotica narrators to really get into the sexual moments which in my opinion she didnt. But to be completely honest, Im a dirty bird when it comes to my audio smut. I like real moans, breathlessness, things like that. This is what I look for in narrators who read my work, so I expect it in other peoples projects as well. Despite that, she did get into it for the majority of the narration and was really fun to listen to.

The narration gets 4 out of 5 stars

NARRATORS RUIN HALF THE STORIES

Looking to write a book myself,. so listening to these kinds of stories

is important to me, since three of my major characters are women, some older. Since there are so many narrators on this book, I didn't take names, but one is very good, two ore ok and one sounds like a fourth grade teacher reading a training manual. Not very stimulating. To other authors out there, the message is clear you should spend the money on narrating talent that matches your story. A bad one can kill you, as happened four or five times in this book.

Unimaginative, unoriginal

Very little creative writing here. The 15 stories are essentially the same scenario, over and over. The writing level would be best appreciated by exactly the readers too young to be reading such material.

Couldn't put this one down!

I usually do not like stories that are not stand alone, but in this case the second book was so much better than the first. This two book series was gritty, emotional, violent and overall an very enjoyable listen! The MC is in the mix, however the focus of this story is on the two flawed main characters .... how the come to accept love, and embrace life despite the violent tendencies that are part of the life they have chosen. This was so credit worthy and I recommend it for any reader who enjoy gritty MC novels!

IT'S EDGY, A BIT DARK & IT'S ALL-CONSUMING

I love a good MC book.... and this is definitely a worthy 5 star listen as it packs so much in. You get the gritty MC lifestyle, the threats, the twists, the suspense, the "oh shits", the brotherhood mentality and, on top of all this, you also get a romance that was anything but 'typical'. However, for the two broken main characters, it worked for them as they battled poisonous lies, overcame each other's mistrust, fought inner turmoil, triumphed over their haunted pasts, conquered jealousies, had lots of epic sex, healed from heartbreak, killed and was nearly killed, discovered an enemy within as well as gained evil new ones and, thankfully, survived it all. And, through so much diversity, their characters changed, they grew closer together and formed a loving bond made from blood, death, violence, passion, forgiveness and trust.

Together they have the perfect balance - Shadow now has light in his life thanks to Dani and Dani has found the home she never knew she wanted..... with Shadow and all the MC characters.

Worth a credit? Dual POV's, great narration, an action-packed story that was full of biker suspense and a love story that defied and survived everything that was thrown at it. A good balance of drama vs romance and a very creditworthy purchase.

Violence and mayhem!

This second audiobook in the Devil's Dust series was enjoyable, while being very violent. The main characters were separated by the heroines mothers actions at the end of the first book and most of this book was them coming to trust each other again. There were a lot of killings, backstabbing betrayal and distrust in this book. I almost felt like the violence was overshadowing the love story.

Yes. The story line was interesting and I loved the narration of it.

What did you like best about this story?

Ms. Dane was able to take the taboo of being a cuckold and create a beautiful sexy story. You could really feel how John felt when Sarah and Drake were together. It left you wanting for more of the story and find out what happens the next time they get together.

What does D. Jordan Padrona bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Ms. Padrona's voice is very sultry. She has a touch of British in her voice which makes the narration even more erotic. She gives it that upper class while being naughty feeling to the story. I will be looking out for more of Ms. Padrona's work.

Any additional comments?

Hot Wife is the story of Sarah and John, a couple whose love life is in need of a boost. They invite their neighbor Drake over and the fireworks begins. The story takes place over the course of one evening. The sex is hot and the narration really pulls you in.

This is the true definition of erotica. I would recommend this to those who are 18 and over due to explicit language and adult content.

Great Book

Loved the book. the story line was great. I really enjoyed the narrator. For me the best part was when she realized she could trust the men.

Inconsistent main character

It constantly irritated me that Stacy would get upset about her men keeping secrets, making decisions for her, and taking over her life only to forgive them completely after a round of sex. She starts off by being a strong, independent woman and then she's suddenly okay with a couple men she just met run her life. It seemed too unrealistic and didn't seem to fit with the character.

Awesome trilogy!

Wow loved every book kept you wanting to know more. Kept you on the edge of your seat to see where the adventure was going to go next. You felt like you could relate to Natalie in experiencing new aspects of bedroom play for first time. You really felt the chemistry between them, it was explosive!

Loved how Natalie worked through her past.

I loved it. The story was very moving. Loved how Natalie moved on with her life and didn't let her past interfere with her loving Flynn. Would recommend the series to friends to read/listen.

Feel good romantic erotica

I enjoyed this trilogy. I did feel like it ended with too many questions and situations unresolved. There could easily be a forth book that would serve this purpose, alone; without adding any additional topics. This book isn't exceptionally deep and the love affair is almost too perfect but, sometimes that kind of story hits the spot. Sometimes, we readers don't want to cry, for half a book. It is a feel good story.

My only real criticism is for the narration done by Brooke Bloomingdale. She did a fine job with the voices and inflection, but you could constantly hear her sucking in a deep breath.
