Kids from 6-10 all enjoyed listening to this, and even I laughed too. I wish there were more of this series. Really well read by what-sounds-like a kid narrator. Highly recommend.

Fun silly book that I almost sent back!

I guess I really didn't read the description very well because I thought this would be a book about manners and making fun of some of them while still teaching the children about them. I was totally wrong! It's a silly book about what not to do, but most of the things listed are things that my children would never do. The things are so silly that they made my children laugh out loud and the drawings are super funny, too. I almost sent the book back and then I decided to keep it. I read it one time to my boys (4 and 8) and that's all it took for me to know that this book was worth keeping. If a book can make my boys laugh and have fun together then it's a great book for me!

Everyone kids needs this book!

Kids LOVE this book. We read over and over and over and over. Its funny EVERY time! Worth EVERY cent!

The Rules

I teach computers and I used this book to start the year off to explain that the computer room has rules too.

I read it to my K-2nd graders but had to read it to my 3rd and 4th graders because it went over so well.

I had their undivided attention reading this book. It is cute and to the point. The pictures are great too!

You can't go wrong with this book when it comes to teaching rules.

The Rules

My second graders loved this book. We read it in conjunction with our Learning.com computer skills program. It is an easy read, and the illustrations are comical. There is one illustration where a cartoon character is in his underwear (page 2) that has the caption "Don't forget clean underwear". It is not vulgar, but just wanted to give a heads up. I would recommend this book.

Fun Book

I bought to read to 2nd graders for the first of school as I introduced the rules. It instantly became a class favorite. Pictures tell the story.

Creative book series!

My oldest son (8) loves the Time Warp Trio books. The time travel and humor are his favorite aspects of this series. He gets so interested in the stories that it's not uncommon for him to finish one of these books in day. Books like this that can encourage an excitement to read are a treasure.

Japan rules

This book was great but did not have a lot of great details. Though I love the series this book was okay. But still you should get this book and read the whole series!!

Great books

Can across a book list over the summer and Mr Putter and Tabby was on it. Since we already love Henry and Mudge, I figured I would try these books out. So glad I did. The books are great to read, leaving my son laughing or asking what will come next. It is a great book to ask questions about what do you think will happen next...

So funny and clever

These are the sweetest and dearest books for girls and boys. So funny and clever. Level J DRA, 1st or 2nd graders plus can independently read about the adventures of Mr. Putter and Tabby.

If you love cats...or if your kid does....

We probably own almost all of the Mr. Putter and Tabby books. Initially I bought them for myself (if you have a cat...), but other more age-appropriate members of the household have adopted them, learned to read on them, now read novels...and still, they will not give them back!

The stories are sweet and the illustrations (especially of Tabby) cannot be compared. If you love cats, or their diabolical ways, buy this for the illustrations alone; you will not be disappointed.

We all hope to reach "old age" one day - I hope I have a good cat and it is this much fun!

P.S. This book in particular had us shrieking on the floor with the reflections of fish in Tabby's huge eyes.

great beginner chapter book

ar level 2.2 This is a great 2nd grade reader set on up to 3rd grade, some of the books in series are at a high 2nd reading level.

These books are so well written. along with Rylant's other famous series, Henry and Mudge, You can't go wrong investing in Cynthia Rylant books they are all fantastic.

There is also a new series out by Rylant with Annie and Snowball a spin-off for girls from the Henry series.Also 2nd grade reading level.

And she has an early reader series out with Henry and Mudge, called Puppy Mudge for 1st grade readers. At a .6 to .8 reading level

Mr. Putter and Tabby books are so endearing. The begging of Chapter 4: "The bucket stayed over the fishbowl for a week. Mr. Putter tried taking it off a few times. But Tabby got all twitchy and batty and he had to put it back on. Finally Mr. Putter got tired of looking at an upside-down bucket." What will Mr. Putter do to help Tabby? Will he beable to keep the goldfish?

Good Narrator & Great Music

We listen to this at the breakfast table. My kids love Dame Edna's narration as well as the music. It keeps everyone entertained.

Great to entertain Children

I have got several Olivia audio books, the children love them and listen to them over and over again. The narration my Edna Everage is just fantastic, she brings another element to the stories. Get a few of these, play them for your children while in the car and you wont hear a peep from them.

The Land of the Blue Flower

This short story is a fairy tale written by Frances Hodgson Burnett (author of The Secret Garden and A Little Princess, amongst others.)

In this tale, a young king orders all of his citizens to plant and care for a blue flower. Although the people find the law unusual, they comply, with amazing results.

This sweet story is simple with a beautiful moral that everyone should learn. I definitely recommend this one!

Profound, thought-provoking, influencing....

Personally, I thought this little book had a very profound message that will ring through my thoughts, and hopefully my actions, for the rest of my life. This message reminds me of the adage, "We make our choices and our choices make us." I would highly recommend that families and close friends read this together to exchange insights and help one another put principle into practice. Easy quick read with a relevant and long-lasting message. There were elements that I did not necessarily agree with, but I could easily overlook in favor of the much bigger truths.

Beautiful simple story

What a beautiful simple story. The lessons it teaches are powerful. I have loved Burnett's other books, Little Lord Fauntlaroy and Little Princess. This story had all the beauty and power of those packed into a sweet short story! Worth reading and re-reading.

Such a beautiful simple truth is taught in this story. This is a story of how positive thinking and hard work bring joy and beauty to a poor wretched kingdom where the people have only known misery, selfishness, hate, envy and all that is depressing. This book would be a blessing for children everywhere.

A different version than the other books I already had ...

A different version than the other books I already had for small groups in reading. Different words and different page numbers. Who knew a chihuahua was called a bonehead???

My 7yr old grandson enjoyed these.

Excellent for young readers.

My 5 year old grandson really enjoys reading these books. There are 11 in the series. He also likes to listen along to the CD's that ate available fro the first 5 books. The books are cleverly written and very engaging for young minds.

Puptastic!!

This is such a fun book to read! My 6 year old nephew loves the series!! From the dog characters, play on words, nose maps, and "Jack's Facts", the author truly engages young children into these books. I really enjoy reading them to my nephew and love the silliness of the stories. Normally, I can read about 5 pages of a book before he falls asleep. I can read the whole book without even a yawn from him.
