We know that death is a reality, whether it's my death, your death, or someone else's death. We all have to deal with it and we will all eventually have to deal with it. What security does the world offer you, especially in death? For believers in Jesus Christ, death is a blessed thing. It is gain.

Trials and temptations are inevitable in life in our fallen world. instead of being built up and strengthened by a trial that God allows, sometimes the temptation to anger, bitterness, fear or jealousy may follow. Don’t resort to blaming God for the trial, the temptation and sin. God doesn’t tempt anyone. His holiness won’t allow that. Instead, rehearse God’s goodness and His promises to you.

Life will test and challenge you. The enemy will attack and try to sabotage your faith. Trials will cause you to question God. But, as Pastor Tom will remind you in this message God is a generous God who longs to bless you in this life, and more fully and abundantly in the eternal life to come. In order for faith to be genuine, it must be tested and proven. Hold fast to God! He is good and He is faithful!

Do you want to be a person whom God blesses? James makes it clear that God will bless those who persevere through the trial of life. God will not bless you because you are good or because God exists to give you what you desire. Pastor Tom will help you understand the calling of a believer to endure. It means you live a life that believes and trusts God despite hard circumstances. It means you abide with Jesus –cling to Him and His word. He promises incredible blessing for this kind of life.

It’s a disadvantage to be rich if you want to be great in the kingdom of God. The rich rely on their skills, strengths, position and money instead of on God. Pastor Tom will challenge you to examine what or whom you are trusting in. Have you had to rely on God for provision? If you lose your money, would you lose your faith? Do your riches mean you escape trials and the spiritual lessons they teach? Without Christ, you are bankrupt
