Poor audio version of a great book :(

I was glad to find at last an audio version of this fantastic, life-changing book by Charles Haanel. However, I found this audio edition very disappointing. The quality is far from perfect as there are several skips in the audio flow. Furthermore, I found the reader quite boring.

I strongly recommend the other version available here at Audible. Indeed, the version read by Jason McCoy is way better: the quality is much higher at a much cheaper price, and the narrator does a much better job. I just wished I had found it first! Don't waste your money (or credit) on this Core Media Productions recording... I gave 1 star just because the zero option is not available.

Excellent Content, Lousy Quality

A great book to help listeners understand and further internalize the principles and application of the The Law of Attraction (as a supplement to the widely popular, 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne). However, the quality of this recording is very disappointing. The reader reads with no finesse whatsoever and you can even hear his weariness from the long recital. What's worse is that there are cuts in the recording where some text are missing (aside from hearing the edit cuts, I also have the book so I am able to follow which parts have disappeared). Such a shame especially since this book contains very good practical advice for harnessing personal power and is presented in a methodical manner (good if you have a distaste for anything 'self-help' or New Age-y). I give it 2 stars, if only for the content. Get either one of the other cheaper recordings (this one was the most expensive too!).

ok, but cannot highly recommend

Not riveting, still trying to finish. Not very memorable and contains a lot of exercises that I consider somewhat silly like sitting still in a chair without moving for 15 minutes every day for a week or something like that.

The voice narating the book has not a single emotion... his voice is too plain and doesn't transmit the feeling you get when Reading the book or hearing a book narrated by its own author or a great speaker.

Sweet and Short but helpful

Although the clip is six minutes long, it is six minutes in which the narrator gets to the point by explaining what anger is, how it influences and how to manage it.

What Don said is very good and useful. However, I was personally looking for something more motivational. However, his presentation was pragmatic and gave several things to ponder. I have been a public speaker for over thirty years. His suggestion on segmentation and limitations were great.

Awesome, Awesome Listening

I have been reading and listening to a lot of self-development books and I would like to say that this one tops them all, hands down. Perfect and profound choice of words, inspiring stories that got my juices flowing, words of wisdom that got me thinking deep and hard about who I am and what I want to be in order to return God's favor and give back to society what I have been bountifully blessed with. I could not finish the audio because I kept going back to chapters that really spoke to my heart. Thank God for people like Brian Souza, so blessed, so gifted, so enlightening, I could go on and on and not give enough justification as to why this masterful book/audio should be owned by everyone. This is the only book I could not help but write a review on. It is simply superb!

This audiobook is simply amazing! Of the hundreds of motivational and inspirational books and recordings I own, this may be the best I have heard. Just as the author explains in the beginning, he has managed to define the core questions many of us have about our life's work.This is also the first book of its kind I have seen that doesn't make assumptions on a persons spiritual convictions regarding a "path in this life". I am strongly Christian in faith and really appreciate the way Mr. Souza demonstrates through countless examples how the responsibility to do or be anything is on us! We are all born with more potential than we will ever use.

Typical self help material, horrible narration. Average title at best, in my opinion.

Don't waste your time

If you've never read an audio before, then you might like this book. Otherwise, this is just a revamped version of Napoleon Hill with fresher examples. Even the claim of a 20-year study of success is ripped off from Hill. This books brings nothing new to the self-help body of work, it is at best a gross caricature of the genre.

Yeah, some useful tips, but you can see the 5 points in the book summary without buying it. After looking at their recommended freewebcockpit, I found that for only $97 more dollars, I could get "much more". Disappointing overall.

"What is the purpose of this book?" This is the question that I asked myself after listening to about 2/3 of it. I feel that it wanders off on a rambling tangent and doesn't deliver any strong actionable output. I think it delivers babble.ology rather than simple.ology

Avoid this book

I will add to the choir of angry, puzzled listeners who spent money on this book. It is a waste of both time and money, and owes most of its profit to its title, I'm sure, since its contents don't merit the paper it's printed on.
