Absolute Must-Read for All Authors and Narrators.

As a big fan of audiobooks, I thought it would be interesting to learn more about how they are made, how authors turn their books into audiobooks, how narrators are found, etc. This short book turned my interest into fascination. I think every author (especially self-published authors) and narrator should read this. Unsurprisingly, the narration was top-notch as well.

The book starts by giving you a brief history about how audiobooks came about, when the first ones were made, and how we got to the point we are today. Current and past trends involving audiobooks are examined with an emphasis on predictions for the future of this expanding form of book consumption.

The book goes on to give a step-by-step guide of how to turn your book into an audiobook. It even discusses how to work with a publisher if you have already published the book.

I actually found myself taking notes for things I wanted to look in to, including other ways to listen to and find audiobooks. To say this book was worth my time would be a significant understatement. I actually listened to the full book twice!

If you are a book author or narrator, it would be worth your time to listen to this, even if you already know a lot about the industry. The background information alone is worth the listen

Great Instructions, Invaluable Resource

This book is totally worth the price and the time it takes to listen to it. Any author new to audiobook production should absolutely own it. It will save you the time and effort of scouring thousands of online resources just to mine the tiny nuggets of information presented to you here in one glittering treasure chest. I have gone through the book once so far, but I plan to listen to it again and take notes. Simply excellent.

Although interesting snippets of information on Leonardo the book feels all over the place . It is too brief and feels very rushed and the links between business action and data Vinci are brief with no real in depth explanation and very broad , offering nothing of real practical use . It is cheap but it's a very short book which has a lack of effort feel to it

A Good First Choice

This is a relatively straightforward book to follow that promotes thought.

The narrator speaks at a pace where you instantly start asking questions as you enter this territory; or perhaps it will enable you to go over old ground thus overcoming writers block.

Although I do not write stories it has enables me to pursue an amateur record review career. - Not that each review gets easier.

Ask yourself what is the reader not seeing as this will also expand your creativity.

Really Great !!

I first listened to "25 Things to say to the interviewer to get the job you want" written by the same author. Not only was that a fun listen, but proved to be very interesting and best of all---straight forward. This book didn't disappoint. Again, straight to the point, interesting, and at times a little funny... especially when you get to parts that are relatable. Lots of advice and tips on what to do to get noticed in a positive way. If you need some real straight forward advice on how to get promoted this book is everything you need to know. Very easy listen not only because it's well written but also the gentlemen's voice matches perfectly to what is being said. Buy & Enjoy!
