When megamillionaire and imitation cowboy Rex Taylor proposes building a country-music theater in Scumble River, everyones ready to do the boot-scootin boogie - except school psychologist Skye Denison. Shes been asked by Suzette Neal, Rexs assistant and a rising country star, to investigate her mothers suspicious death 27 years earlier. No sooner does Skye agree to help than she finds Suzette literally flattened - and very dead.
This has fast become a case of two questionable deaths, and suspicion seems to be hovering over Suzettes inner circle: Rexs jealous wife, a mysterious man in a black pickup truck, and the sizzling-hot singer Flint James, who also happens to have been Suzettes bitter rival for country-western fame. With a honky-tonk full of suspects and a tangled web of motives that stretches back two decades, Skye has two options: Rise to the occasion or end up as flat as a crêpe.

Awesome Read
Would you consider the audio edition of Murder of a Creped Suzette to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print version, but I love the audio version! Christine Leto's ability to draw you into the characters makes you feel as though you are seeing the story play out in front of your eyes.
The portrayal of the characters makes you feel like you know them.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Murder of a Creped Suzette?
I loved when Wally came to Skye's rescue when his ex-wife's friend tries to abduct her in her home. The way he loves her with his whole being just makes me feel like that is what love is supposed to be like.
I also liked the way they worked together to solve the mystery of who killed Suzette and why. The backstory of Suzette's mother's death and the unraveling of that family was also intriguing.
I was glad when Skye's ex decided to adopt the little dog. I am hoping that in the future he will have a new love interest to make his life happier!
What about Christine Letos performance did you like?
Ms. Leto is able to give each character a memorable personality through her performance.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did laugh in some points of the book. I cannot wait for more audio books from this author and narrator.

This series is pretty high on my list, I like how they all pick right up where the prior book left off.
What did you like best about this story?
I really liked that they didn't just solve a murder from the current day but they also solved a murder from the past and helped give a living person who lives in Scumble River information about their past.
What does Christine Leto bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I like the many different voices she has. she makes it easy for you to visualize the character by the way she changes her voice to fit their personality.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it actually only took me one day to listen to this book, this one was different from the others in that Sky and Wally had to go way back and find out about the past.
