Narration was appalling

I'd loaded this book then disappeared to a place without internet so was the only book I had.

Otherwise I wouldn't have listened to it. The story was ok but the narration was the same singsong right the way through.

I usually love her books, but the characters in this one, I found very frustrating.

Omg this woman's pitch and tone make this boring story quite insufferable to listen to. Why does the pitch of her voice have to go up at the end of every sentence. It drove me mad and I just couldn't make it into chapter 2

great continuation

this is great both as a continuation or s stand alone. Funny, serious, contemporary and timeless.

Another great book by SB

I absolutely adore the troubleshooters series and was really happy to see this newest one come out. It didn't disappoint either. Even better, it had Izzy involved and Izzy is my favorite character. I really enjoyed how the, drama played out and was resolved. I also enjoyed going through hell week with the new seals. I'm hoping squad John will become new regulars and that focussing on them means the series will continue. Because as long as it does, I will continue to buy each book the instant it's released.

Still enjoying series

I never get tired of Suzanne Brockmann's writing. She keeps the stories fresh and entertaining. I highly recommend this series, but suggest you start with book one in the series.

Fantastic! One of my favs!

I've listened to all the books, in order, so far. This one had me on the edge of my seat! By the end I was laughing & crying simultaneously!!!

Disappointing

Loved all the trouble shooter's books and relisten to the series at least once a year. This story probably not... Sorry ms brockmann, only really good part of this listen was the awesome as always, narration by these two special performers!

Huge fan of all SJ's books!

As a huge fan I had already read this series but was super excited to experience it all over again on audio! I was not disappointed! Great story, sweet and oh so steamy. Sexy cowboys, strong female characters and an awesome second chance love story, I highly recommend this listen!

Good read but predictable

The story line, girl leaves the country for the big city but comes back to meet up with old hunk of boyfriend who still loves her and she feels the same. They have hot sex and eventually marry. There are some secrets and some other lame relations but very predictable

Loved this book

I love how captivating this book is! It's interesting to hear both perspectives of thoughts and feelings from Elizabeth and Roman...the past and the present! Can't wait to read book two!!

Woah

I really didn't know what to expect as I didn't read the blurb but someone told me, "I think it's about a couple that had a miscarriage". Imagine my surprise when it was not only so flatly about a couple who had lost a baby, but it was soooo much more.

The love between Elisabeth and Roman was PALPABLE. The alpha manly way that Roman takes his life and his woman back was hot AF. The. There is sooo much more with the side story with Clare. I just had no idea that I would be this sucked into this audio and so incredibly invested in the story. I didn't even want to pause for a review.

Do I even need to mention Jason, Maxine and Andi? We all know they are amazing, we all know they fail at nothing and all they do is win.

I have had this book for a while and just read it. All I can say is I am hooked on Roman.

Great Book!!!

This was a great book. I had this in my library for a while. Decided it was time to read a new book by an author I had not read before. I did not regret it. I loved the story and the suspense. The narration was excellent!!!!

I don't like to think of myself as a romance snob, but when I see a slew of 5-star reviews full of gifs and squee-ing, I immediately get both grumpy and skeptical.

I know, I know, people are allowed to squee in peace without my judgment, but I've been burned badly by the promise of awesomeness from dozens of fan-girling reviews.

This book had a number of strikes against it. For one, people compared this book to a Kristen Ashley. Now, while I've liked a couple KA books in the past, I've also 1 and 2-starred a whole bunch of them. While lots of people go gaga for an alpha male, a bossy, "I'm always right" kind of guy just makes me want to punch them in the face. Don't get me wrong, I see the appeal of a guy in charge, but more often than not, I just get irritated.

Another thing that made me nervous was that this book was part of a "duet." Cliffhanger endings can go die, and I almost didn't read this book because of that. I really hate a cliffy, but I figured that each half was short enough that if I hated it I would call it quits and bow out early.

Also, this book features an established couple... well, a couple having a second-chance. I don't usually like that in romance books.

horrible narration

I have listened to over 400 audio books. The male narrator was fine but the female was horrible. She ruined my listen especially when attempting to sound like the male character. I kept thinking about stopping and returning for credit but forced myself to finish since the story was good. I can see now how how easily the wrong narrator can kill any hopes for a good listening experience even if the story is good.

Awful

I can't believe anyone actually listened to this narration before it was published. KM's portrayal of Wilder sounds just like the creepy, irritating voice of Jack Hide in the Fifty Shades of Gray series. It totally ruined the story. There was no way I could get into his character. I just wanted him to stop talking...Then there was the Kentucky accent of the mother. Aughhh. I couldn't take it . I plan on returning this and checking the book out from the library.

Loved go pieces!

I totally loved the hero and heroine in this one! The hero was a sexy, filthy dirty talker and I loved it. Now I need to read the rest of the books! The makle narrator did an excellent job on this one.

Don't waste the credit.

I've listen to many audiobooks and I have to say this is by far the worst narration I've come across. The female narrator is ok as a woman, but horrible as a man. I could not finish it, it was so bad.

Really Lame.

This book had a superficial storyline. I gagged and rolled my eyes the whole way through. Not worth the read.

Great Series

I got this book via audiobook boom. This was a great series of stories. Loved that they were Christian based and that the characters trusted God to direct their paths even as they went through the various twists and turns of the stories. They are best read in order to get the full story. The preview of the fourth book was also very well developed. Each story had some unbelievable things in them but were well written and many of the things told made me feel good. I loved the narrator she was perfect for these stories. I will read the rest of the series. But I will wait until they are a box set also since that is the best way to read them. Buy the box set it is worth the credit.

Excellent Start to a New Series

I enjoyed each one of the books in this 3-book set. The stories were funny, poingent, heart rending and very romantic. It was nice to read a romance with references to trusting God and faith without all the TMI details about the characters intimate moments. I will definitely be purchasing more of the stories in this series.

Love this series!

I really love this series. It's such a sweet, clean and inspirational read but it also had some great chemistry and humor. The reader was fun and I loved her southern twang. She never got in to way of the dialogue, and I heard the story more than noticed the reader, which is how it should be.

BEST ONE YET

I loved this one best. the first two kind of mirrored each other with certain things like the guys walking away cause it was best in that super hero complex kind of way because the men brought trouble to the women but this time it's the heroine's past that catches up with the couple.

Tasha antics had me laughing out loud when she was in fine form.... For all of Castens put off-ness she did not give up, yes she had been delt a few blows but she has always tightened her gut & just pushed on ...

All of it .. Great laughs .. Tighting stomach when Casten was blowing it with Tasha ... Casten being a twin ... The moment it dawned on him that she was his One.. Lots !!

Loved the story line, narration (dual POV) and how Adam never gave up on his sassy, stubborn co-worker! I just was sad the series came to an end. But, can't wait for the Cade Brothers series...

first audible, took a while to get used to it, but love it. the narration was great. the story was good and had me intrested all the time.

Love Adam & Hayden!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and also the performance of both narrators. The story was so different and kept me interested the whole time! The chemistry between Adam and Hayden was combustible! They were so hot and sexy together but their relationship was so much more than that. I love them as a couple!

Overall, I would give this book 4.5 stars. The characters hate great banter, and the story defiantly had a few surprises. I love Zackary Webber, he is one of my favorites narrators and Susannah Jones grew on me as a narrator. she not the,best but certainly not the,worst. The love scenes could have been a,little bit more heated, but over all a good audio book.

loved it. hot and sexy to N th degree. Silas was all I expected him to be and more. Intense and brooding but all in to those he loved.

Best book in the series

Great story, full of action. non-stop! My favorite story in this series, not because of the sexual activities, but because of the passion felt.

Not her best

I wanted to love this novel. I loved the first two so much and loved Cylus' (not sure of the spelling) character so much, I wanted to see him find his HEA. I'm not sure if it was the writing, in it's self, of the narrator's interpretation of Haley's voice and inflections, but she came across as rather dorky. The story was completely predictable and didn't come across as true, at all. With the way that Cylus' character reacted to Drake's treatment of Evangeline, I was sorely disappointed that he repeated the behavior he identified as adhorant, in the last book. At my age, I certainly know that human nature of causes us to expect others to, "do as I say", rather then, " do as I do", but it came across as silly. I hope the next book has a different narrator, or at least, a different narrator doing any female voices, because this is not Jeremy York's strong suit; not at all. I also hope the next chapter follows a different plot pattern. If not, I am fairly sure I will give up on this series, which will be such a disappointment, because it started out so promising.

We meet Silas in the first book. He's the enforcer and so dangerous that even the other brothers fear him. His past is dark and tragic; he's a hot muscular drool worthy dominant who values his privacy and lives a quite life. With the type of work Silas is involved in security is a priority.
