The content and the presentation are very good. Just at the end, Audible added a sponsor message that is very startling in its tone. This could have been added with a pause and more subdued voice so as to not upset the calm you just managed to achieve.

I would recommend this audiobook to anyone and everyone. After one day you will be zapped into the now, very powerful. My clients are now enjoying this via headphones during massages and facials. A wonderful journey. Clients remarks..... "mind blowing"......."totally relaxing"......." please tell me how to get this!"

Restful

This is one of my favorites. The tape is very restful to listen to and he has a soothing scottish accent. Wish there were more by him.

Only caveat? Would like a few more positive affirmations.

Not a Traditional Guided Meditation

Not at all the type of imagery-based guided medirations many are used to, this recording seems merely instructional - simply teaching awarenwss of physical sensations. If you're looking for exploration and relaxation through guided meditation and imagery, this is not the book for you.

I've listened to this a few times at bedtime and each time it has put me to sleep before reaching the end. His voice is relaxing (although you may not think so from the sample) and does help you to relax. I only wish there had been more than two relaxation exercises. I will probably tire of listening to them over and over.

Relaxing Yet Confusing

If you could sum up Meditations for Overcoming Life's Stresses and Strain in three words, what would they be?

There are some parts of the meditation CD I enjoyed and which made me feel calm, but felt it was too far fetched. It was difficult to find myself in some of the situations he was relating to.This was my first meditation CD and maybe I am not used to someone talking in this fashion. I must say I did feel sleepy afterwards. I will try another and see if it is more to my liking or if I can relate to it better.

POOR RECORDING!!!

What disappointed you about Meditations for Peace of Mind?

The recording was so bad, it was hard to make out many words. This was probably caused by WAY too much compression when making the cassette that this mp3 was made from.

Audible! Ashamed of you that you would offer such a low quality recording!

If you have access to the original recording, Audible, I have a friend who can make a perfect mp3 for you ... as could probably any sound engineer.

Can't Go Wrong With This Book!

This is one of the best self-help books that I have ever read or listened to. I have read several of Bernie Siegels' books. Mr. Siegel comes across as being so warm and caring and makes you feel as though he is really speaking to you as an individual.

A couple of reviewers commented that his voice is not very relaxing and I agree that his voice is not very smooth. But the meaning in his words more than make up for the quality of his voice. To me his voice is very comforting.

Whenever I listen to this tape I feel so relaxed and comforted and relieved of any negative feeling I may have had. I can almost promise you that if you listen to this tape you will be so glad that you have purchased it. Best wishes.

You can listen to samples of most of these recordings under Audible Before you buy because we are ALL have different prefaces, tastes. I will be buying more of these wonderful recordings by Bernie and others who are helping me get well which also incorporates having a Positive outlook which is essential since it's easier to blame and become scared and negative which actually makes people sick or sicker and we ALL have the power to heal ourselves if we are open and have a willingness to change and shift our mindset. And this is what I wish I knew before because Western medicine Only made me sicker including many medical mistakes made and I AVOID most of these people now especially when these people Refused to educate themselves about what Dr. Siegel and many others do because it's working and I have a long way to go and I can't afford any more mistakes due to ignorance, indifference which also impacted my mental health.

Be your own advocate and Don't be blindly led but with that said you have to eat nutritionally, exercise and have a good mindset to overcome anything.

Not what I expected at all.

The title of the book is misleading. It seems like the book would be motivational and therapeutic. However, the author rants throughout the entire book about what Cancer is and how it works. Not necessarily bad if you don't know what it is, just disappointing for me.

Also, I personally think he could have talked about alternative treatments a bit more for people who absolutely do not want to go the chemo route. Is there any hope for someone who chooses alternative therapy? Would meditation play a factor in that as well? Or does meditation only go hand and hand with radiation and traditional methods?

Neither speech nor lecture. These are mantras chanted by two yogic saints; consider this a chance to meditate in their company and to benefit by their long practice and devotion. I'm deeply moved each time I meditate with these recordings.

Listening to these mantras being chanted with such love goes right to the heart. The sounds are sacred and soothing to the mind and body.

I was very excited to download mantras, so I could chant along. One major problem: they don't tell you the words or syllables associated with the mantras. They also don't tell you what the mantras mean.

This book is a summary of Mediumship. It describes what it means to be a medium and how to take care of this incredible gift. It describes how a medium can be helped by guiding angels to let go of negativity and to learn about forgiveness and love.

It also gives important definitions about the difference between clairvoyance which is seeing things, clairaudience which is hearing sounds including voices and clairsentience which is sensing the presence of spirits. In addition, this book teaches how to develop the skills of channeling.

This was a very informative book suitable for young adult and adult readers alike who are interested in this topic and I rate it five out of five stars!

Review of âAurasâ

âAurasâ discusses human energy fields which are known as âauras.â It also discusses the ancient Japanese energy work called Reiki which involves the âlaying on of handsâ for healing.

It turns out that the 7 Chakras or energy points start vertically at the head or crown and extend down to the ârootâ which is located at the base of the spine

I also found it very interesting to learn about the assorted colors of auras that people can have from yellow meaning intelligent and hard working to red meaning energetic and purple being psychic. A black aura of course is not good meaning someone who is miserable and depressed and possibly very ill.

This is a well written and well formatted book which can be of wonderful use to all readers. I gladly rate it five out of five stars.
