I love minions in anything, reader could have made more sounds like the minions do in the movie.

For 8 year olds and older; kind of boring

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not. First, it tended to drone on. Second, some of the sections about them finding sadistic masters got a bit intense for my 6 year old, and I had to turn it off. This is probably better for upper level elementary students.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Normally, I think dry narration is preferable to over-acting but this kind of needed something. Possibly more over the top narration? I have no idea.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

There's a deadpan humor to all this Minion stuff with them all having boringly funny names like Kevin and Bob etc. and the narrator delivers that well.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

My kids enjoy Minions but would want to make sure it is rated G. I would say this book would have to be PG at least on some chapters.

This audio book is the story is a story of a brave little mongoose who protects an English family in India. It was written in the early 1900's so it is not sugar coated as our Disney or children stories are today. The story is nicely presented but too realistic for me (age 65). It does add food for thought (if the mongoose destroys the cobra's eggs, why is it not fair for the cobras to eat bird eggs; if a mother bird wants to protect her babies, why shouldn't a mother cobra try to protect hers). The mongoose is described as cute and full of energy, and as I have lived with a series of ferrets (closely related to Rikki) the description is right on. This story will be enjoyed by children who are in their 'tearing wings off butterfly stage' as the killing of the snakes is vivid and well described. However, I much prefer Kipling's novels. Classic story, well read.

The kids loved it. Great for a 1 hour road trip. Definitely recommend investing in this one.

great classic story

This book is a Beautiful African Cinderella fairy tale. I remember when I was a child listening to this story from reading rainbow and I was hooked. Its been one of my favorite stories since I was young that I still own the paper back copy I had since I was a young girl. I recommend this for every child to read, worth every penny

I remember reading this story growing up. It excited me to see how much the sisters resembled me. There wasnât a lot of books dedicated to girls like me growing up. A great read

A great book made even better

We love every Mo Willems book we've read but the audio versions are even better because they're brought to life by the author. My 4 and 6 year old gave it top marks.

Heartfelt

Always love Hank stories! This one doesn't disappoint. A story many can relate to.

Happy to see the thankfulness to the Lord shown by the characters. Strong male leads. Strong family values. Good clean entertainment.

I Love Paddington!

I just loved this. Good old Paddington is such a dear and has such wonderful adventures. This particular story was different from the other two I've read, as this time the adventures are all related from the point of view of Paddington himself, in the form of letters to his Aunt Lucy. Many of the happenings he describes, such as the antique camera and the theater, but there were a few that were unfamiliar to me - the school game days, the barbershop, and the uncle's visit among them. Endearing and entertaining. And Broadbent's narration was superb. Hmm, and I now have a hankering for marmalade and cocoa and buns.

What did you love best about The Dinosaur Mystery?

The adventure and never really left the museum !! Each story has special morals.

What did you like best about this story?

How all the missing bones appeared, just in time !! And at the beginning, when the Alden children saw shadows move. Good eye sight children do have !!

This is a tough question. I must confess, I enjoyed the whole book. I could not pick out a favorite scene !
