Fun Adventurous Read

Not my usual cup of tea but I just couldn't resist this time. It's just not what I would normally read as its intended audience is a lot younger (10-13 yo) than I am and I don't usually read books for this age groups. However, this book sounded like so much fun that my curiosity is aroused.

I loved the variety of characters from the popular gorgeous older sister, the tough evil bully and his cohorts, the overweight insecure BFF, to the mysterious good looking boy. Even the mother and her partner have such unique characteristics that I'm a little bit jealous since my family is relatively normal ;)

Whilst I myself am not into martial arts, hubby is, but I do love watching martial arts movies. There is something mystical about ninjas though and that is what really intriguing. Even though the fighting scenes confused me a little with all the roundhouse kickings and axe kicks and flying kicks and so on, I still found the whole book to be very entertaining.

I would fully recommend this book to the truly adventurous and also to the adventurous at heart (like me). I'm planning to gift this as a Christmas present for a niece of mine -can't wait to hear her thoughts!

We love this series. We read it aloud to our older children when they were younger, and are now reading it again to our younger children.

The book is not only for children. It is a story that children up to the age of 99 will love to read if they are interested in action, adventure and myth.

Amazing book

This book is great, written by on of the worlds best scientists. It features Geoge nd Annie(SPOILER ALERT) going on a space training program to Mars. But, the evil Alioth Merat, disguised as Eric's assistant, Rika Dur using a 3-D printed bersion of her face, gets Eric fired.

The Girl Who Saved Christmas by Matt HaigÂis a very charming story that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. ItÂis the story of Amelia Wishart, who is the first child ever to receive a gift from Father Christmas. She never loses hope throughout the misery she encounters in her very young life and however much she would like to stop believing in magic and goodness, she never fully does. Her hope made that first visit possible, and, just a couple of years later, her hope might just save Christmas itself.Â

The story takes place in two locations that couldn't be more different: Elfhelm, where it is clean and only ever gets as cold as you want it to be, and in 1841 London, where it is dirty, cold and unfriendly place to orphans.

The characters in the story are quite fun. Amelia and Father Christmas both have strong personalities with a firm determination to get things done. Mr. Creeper is just as his name predicts, he is creepy and not a nice man at all. The guest appearances of a ruling head of state and a famous author are perfect. One passage was hilarious and it took me several minutes to sop laughing before I could continue reading. I was amused.

I recommend this book for read-a-loud's to children and for middle grade readers.Â

True Kindness

I loved this book and so glad my grandchildren are now reading it! So much imagination and many life lesson taught through the eyes of a child. Inspiring book with a feel good message while facing the challenges of life.

I enjoyed listening to the author read this book, it was entertaining and she made the story come alive.

A fan-tashe-tic, heartwarming story

I laughed, I cried, and I left feeling inspired to be a little better. Maddie has a message to share with people of all ages. I cant wait to share this story of hope and healing with all my friends and family.

True Story Tugs at the Heart

This will tickle your funny bone while telling the true story of a little girl (plus some fictional characters) forced to face the possibility of her own death. The authors share an uplifting, inspiring account with just the right amount of sentimentality, emotion, and lighthearted humor. This is an easy listen with an amazing debut performance from Shelly Brown. I hope to hear more from these authors and this voice talent. Well done! And cheers to Maddie!
