PULLS YOU IN FROM CHAPTER 1

From chapter 1, I was hooked. I thought this would be a typical erotic/romance book but it was so much more. The characters were incredibly likable, the story was captivating and the writing was great. The only bad thing for me is I WANT THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW! I'll be patiently waiting for more books in the series. Highly Recommended!!!

Couldn't stop listening

Would you consider the audio edition of Storm Damages to be better than the print version?

I've read Storm Damages in the kindle edition and just HAD to listen to it once I found out it was in audio book. The experience was awesome. Not only is Elizabeth & Gabriel's roller-coaster love story stellar, but the narrator's interpretation of the characters held me spellbound. I especially loved the sound effects. Like if Gabriel was talking to Elizabeth on the phone, her would sound a bit distant and crackly. If they were at a cocktail party, there were sounds of clinking glasses and socializing in the background. I'd never heard such details in an audio book before and found they set the mood and put me deeply in the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Gabriel's character. The narrator really captured his arrogance and hidden vulnerability.

What does Anthony LeRoy Lovato bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

It was a pleasure to listen to Lovato's narration. Hearing the characters voiced just put a smile on my face while I was listening.

Production was awesome!

Best production ever. I enjoyed the sound effects....not sure I have ever heard a book done so well....Fact if there was it never ever registered with me like this. The narrator was SUPERB!!. Story overall good, hope next book is as good or even better.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the continuation of this book. The sound effects were big additions which made it more real - like you were right there in that story. Good job!

Strong and Sexy

This book is a great addition to the Sky High Air series with the love story of Dani and Shayne. It was funny,suspenseful and so romantic. This book kept you guessing until the end as to what was going on and where the dead body was that Dani kept as seeing. Dani was the misfit daughter and attending her mother's engagement party at the Sky High hangers was a mistake that she was going to correct by leaving. Dani stepped into a closet to compose herself when Shayne followed her in and they proceeded to have a make out session. She left when someone interrupted them and stepped outside where she witnessed two people quarreling and shots were fired with one person going down. From this point of the story on Shayne comes to her rescue time and time again. Commitment phobic Shayne cannot understand his feelings for Dani who is always a hot beautiful mess that he cannot seem to keep his hands off of. Their love story is so exciting and it is great to read about them falling in love amidst all the crazy situations that they have to face. I cannot wait to read Brody and Maddies love story next. This is an suspenseful funny happily ever after that you do not want to miss reading.

This is another of the Sky High novels by Jill Shalvis. This is the story of Shayne Mahoney - the black sheep and underachiever of his wealthy family. Is he really an underachiever or just laid back? He meets Dani at her mom's party (mom is one of Sky High Air's wealthy clients) and Dani is the "crazy" one in her family.

Murder, missing bodies & gunshots - oh my! This novel was the most like a "true mystery" of the 3. Will Shayne & Dani sizzle betwixt the sheets? Usually opposites attract, but in this case...

A great summer read - take it to the beach and be ready for some fun - Mile High club, anyone?

Jill Shavis gives us another winner in her "sexy" series following the pilots and owners of Sky High Air who cater to the rich and affluent. Her first in the series was Smart and Sexy, which featured Noah. The second in the series, Strong and Sexy gives us Shayne Mahoney, the carefree playboy of the group.

It starts off with him throwing an engagement party for one of his affluent and very weathly clients, Sandra Peterson. He runs into a beautiful brunette who doesn't fit in with the crowd. He ends up in a closet making out with her by the night's end. They get interrupted and finally introduce themselves to each other. It turns out she is Dani Peterson, Sandra's smart daughter who has been labeled by her family as crazy.

Very good story

The story was engaging and action-packed. My only criticism is the quickness of the heroine's belief that she is in love. If she had merely been feeling attracted or even infatuated, the love aspect would have seemed more believable... at least until the majority of the action is over. Overall, this was a great story and still earns 5 stars from me.

Beware, Not the Humor you think

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was looking for humor and this was not what I expected. The sample had most of the great humorous lines. In stead this listen turns out to be a very good run for your life adventure hike with mystery, who dunnit, and romance. I was not disappointed in the story line even though I purchased based on the humorous sample.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Morgan's Hunter?

many as our hero is a macho dream boat our heroine falls for on their adventure. Either the author has some good experience or she is a good researcher. Her dialogue was great.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I feel as if I have listen to this reader under an AKA name. The author has good dialogue and this reader pulled it off almost perfect. She had a great pace which made up for the fact she could not pull off a deep male voice. If she keeps the fast pace and deepens her male reads, then us fans could have a new good reader. I have to say she did a fine job overall of getting the author's sense of the characters in this listen. I would take a chance and try her again. (it is very distracting when us long time listeners keep trying to figure out

a AKA name of a reader. ie Gabra Zackman AKA Isabelle Gorgon was easy and in fact I have purchase most of Ms Zackman reads after I purchased all of IG reads) Susan Deneker AKA Madison Cole. Tanya Elby tells you her AKA, and I wish all the other good reads tell us what other name they use. This reader has only this book listed.

Repetitious, Sex Scene

I would like to see the stories stand on their own. The writer's favorite descriptions of the sex scenes she depends upon to carry the sell her books appear over and over in this this book and her other books almost as if copied and pasted from one book to the. next as well as from one scene to the next.

Good story, better narration..

This was a decent story but, really? Her name was Roberta but she was called Rob. The bad guy who tried to kidnap her was Robbie, the sheriff of Pride was Robert AND Robertas father was Robert Stanton. Not much thought given to names in this book. I thought that was just ridiculous.

I was surprised at who was trying to kill Ric but I feel like there were a few unanswered questions overall.

There were several sex scenes but nothing that led up to them, no desire, no want, no feelings, nothing. Just because you put 2 or 3 or 4 sex scenes in a book doesn't make it "hot and steamy." It's the build up that makes it that way. IMO.. There could have been less sex and more storyline.

And there was a little swearing and the F-bomb was used 2 times.

As to the narration: Tanya Eby is one of my favorite narrators. She reads with emotions, most of the time, and her men sound like men. I can put up with anything else but if a man doesnt sound like a man its going to result in a really low score for the female narrating the book.

Awesome

I really enjoyed this installment of the West series. Great characters with a great storyline. Excellent narration. I definitely recommend this book and all of Jill's books.

This started out with mystery, a little thrill and danger which gave it top marks for me. This was more of a suspenseful read that I come to expect when reading or listening to a book. Taking place in the lovely town of Pride that I have come to love with wonderful characters you can relate to that become your best friends. What do you do at a young age when your father is a thief? You become the best of them as he teaches you the life. For Roberta life was not easy growing up she lived a hard life as her father teaches her the trade and then got drunk and beat her. For every goal or good thing that was done he celebrated, drank and beat up on Roberta. This was her life until her early teens when he died, life got a little better for her when she became part of a gang but then they died. We than move on to her late years and all she has made of her life as she meets Ric who owns the Blue Spot art galleries. As they deal with murder, stole art and soooooooooooo much more.

Didnt care for the reader. Story is good though.

I have been reading Elizabeth Lowell books for years. Love her, and her stories. I have also listened to Justine Eyre and even though she doesn't make me want to stop listening, I just don't care for her voice. Or the timing. She seems to be whispering and then she is also kind of a monotone. I finished the book, but may have to reread it on my kindle to get the full scope of the story.

Terrible narration

Elizabeth Lowell is one of those authors that I automatically buy whenever a new book is released. I wish I had listenend to a sample of this one because I was ready to abandon the book after the first minute or so. I did finally get through it but I will be sure not to buy another book narrated by this person. The story itself was not one of Ms. Lowell's best but it certainly would have been improved by good narration.

Imperfect Military Hero

This is touching story, about the horrors of war and adjusting to life back home, it was heart breaking in places and I was glad for a happy ending!

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves suspense and romance. Ms. Levine tells a story that keeps you riveted until the very end.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the compassion of the leading lady. Her understanding of a damaged soul. The leading man while brave and strong learned to lean on his lady to help him through his PTSD episodes.

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I did not realize how much detail I missed when I read the book. I obtained a clearer understanding of the underlying plot to the story. He is a really good narrator

Yes it was and I did :)

I gave 5 stars to Ms Levine when I read her books. I wish I could giver her 10 stars for the quality of her work. Eric Dove did a wonderful job in bringing her book to life. I look forward to enjoying the rest of this series on audio.

Red Team is romance and action and courage !!!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Edge of Courage to be better than the print version?

Yes, That's hard for me to say too! I loved the ebook version. I have the entire series and now would love the entire series in AUDIO. The narrator sounds just like you would expect Rocco to sound.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Edge of Courage?

When Mandy says if she has to fight the entire town for Rocco to be able to stand and watch the sun move across the sky.

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Doves other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, in the Scanguard series. He was very good in that series but I enjoyed him more in this. I'm not sure why. I loved Rocco when I first read the book, but now I can hear him too.

Eric did a wonderful job with Rocco, as he talks you can feel his emotions.

Noah Michael Levine's sexy voice brings the hot interactions of the two main characters to life. I found myself reacting out loud to these sexy scenes while on a plane:) Amazing voice!

Smexy read

This series gets better and better with each book!! I love these delicious Alpha man and the sassy women who capture their hearts!

Max and Jade are a hot combo!!! Oh heck yeah, these two are combustible!! Serious bouts of sexual tension! And just enough angst to keep the drama alive!

The story this time takes us in a new direction for the MacKenzies, now they are private contractors. I really like this new thread because it opens up so many more possible romances than just in the family. It was also great to get more updates on the couples we already knew.

It has a mixed narrative, so you get both leads POV. This really helps enhance the story and makes the romance more engaging. The timeline is a little tricky. I had to do math and I am not a fan of that! I wish these books were a touch closer to the time frame of the original novellas.

Let me tell you, Max knows his way around some dirty talk!! Oh hell yes! Get that cold shower ready cause this one is a scorcher at times! You might never look at the kitchen the same!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Noah Michael Levine. What a yummy voice! He does a great job keeping the action moving and the flow of the story. I love the way he does the men's tones, they could be more varied but are very yummy. I am definitely looking to hear more of him.

I can not wait for the next book!! Please let the audio come out quick! I need to know about Declan!!

A TURNAROUND FROM HEARTBREAK TO HAPPINESS

Then we jump a good few months where we see Jade gets Max Devlin up on his feet & back to supreme fitness again, which has not ONLY had helped him get back to his supreme fitness & her something to live for.

Terrible narration

This was a good book. However, the narration was just awful. I don't know if she has a speech impediment, but this lady should not be narrating books. Totally ruined the story.

Tessa Bailey, you truly have a gift for writing sexy, dirty talking, kinky heroes!

This book features Daniel Chase, hostage negotiator extraordinaire and self-proclaimed lover of women, and Story Brooks, a twenty-five year old kindergarten teacher. Story is the daughter of Daniels mentor. See the problem?

Daniel and Story definitely heat things up with their off the charts chemistry but beyond all the sizzle there is a tender-hearted romance.
