Shocking twist to a great trilogy
The Layers Trilogy has been a great exciting ride., and this installment doesn't disappoint. Taken from Kendra's perspective it adds a shocking twist that the Cross family has been hiding for years. Beautifully written.
And to Think....I Almost Didn't Buy This!!!!
I'm soooooooo glad that I one-clicked this book!!!! You see, after reading the second book in the series, I was so satisfied with Tristan and Allie's HEA that I didn't think reading the story from Kendra's point of view was necessary. Boy, was I wrong!!!! Layers Off is a MUST READ for readers of the Layers Trilogy! It fills in all of the missing pieces of the puzzle that make up this erotic, suspenseful, page turning crime drama. Once you read the entire story from Kendra's point of view, you gain a whole new perspective, and dare I say, respect for Kendra as well as a whole lot of empathy. This girl went through years of absolute hell! It's not a wonder she turned to substance abuse. Yes, Kendra made some poor choices, but Julian and Tristan made mistakes too. With so many secrets and lies and the resulting guilt circling around, the whole situation was just such a mess. What Kendra lived through was just so frightening, so tragic and so heinous. Thankfully, Julian never gave up on Kendra, reminding her continuously, from the very beginning, "I've got you". ThisÂcouple's journey to second chance romance is certainly painful. But just like in the film, The Notebook, that the author refers to, Kendra and Julian' s love story is EPIC and beautiful!

OMG thanks for the last of this series wow love Kendra she is a strong woman and what she went threw and surivied love her also loved the whole Kendra and Julian story line they are great the Cross family is amazing and glad that she recovered all her memories and found out she shot her science teacher to defend a young woman and glad her mom and dad weren't dead loved it all loved the whole Layers trilogy thanks for an amazing book
