Unlikable characters, disappointing

This book is in the Fire Hawks series and can be read as a stand alone book without reading any of the others. In this book there is Mickey who flies a smaller firefighting helicopter and Robin who has been hired to temporarily fly one of the Fire Hawks, since the normal pilot is pregnant.

I found it hard to like Robin. She was abrasive and frankly a little slutty in her attitude. Many of her thoughts are about having some summer fling with one of the pilots or how much she was peeved about how Emily, the pilot she is replacing, treated her during the flying evaluation. Robin even considers sleeping with a married pilot, but doesn't as he is the husband of the main mechanic. Yetch! Mickey isn't much better. One look and he's ready to jump into bed with Robin. The attraction between these two is just too sudden and extreme. Usually there is some build up, but not here.

Sadly not even the extra assignment beyond the firefighting that is part of this series can't push the book beyond a bare three star rating, in my opinion. What happens felt dull rather than the usual kick of excitement and adventure I felt in previous books in this series. If you're looking to try this series don't start here. The first two novels are great and the third is pretty good, but this fourth one is a disappointment.

Awesome

Head strong women with skills meet up in the Firehawks series. It takes head strong men to capture their hearts. Great read. Totally recommend the series.

An other marvelous story

It starts with a massive fire-abs and low and behold old one appears on the news that I am watching. So I see visually exactly what I am reading about. M L Buckman writes the best stories with wonderful dialogue and fabulously interesting characters. I Love his books and can't wait till the next one. Oh and his dialogue is clever smart and funny. he's an absolute joy to read

Hot Firehawks

I love everything M L Buchman writes. The Firehawks series is a spin off his military aviation "Night Starker" series. The Firehawks are some times used as CIA operatives on an as needed basis. Good story lines mixed in with a little romance.

Five Stars

I have enjoyed this series a great deal as well as the other series' the author has written.

Javier and Sophia's story is incredible!

As a huge fan of Cristin Harber's Titan series and now Delta series, I was excited get my hands on Delta: Revenge. From start to finish it is filled with suspense, combustible chemistry and a fantastic story line. I love how she intricately weaves multiple characters from all of her books relating to The Titan Group and continues to tell one amazing story.

In this book, she specifically focuses on Javier Almeida a member of Titan's Delta Team. His entire life has had one focus, to get revenge for his sister by tracking down the cartel who took his sister and sold her into human trafficking. Growing up in Rio de Janeiro he knew how to fight, but Titan made him a force to be reconded with.

Sopha Cole found the worst of news while at the alter. Thankfully, she found out before any vows were made. Now, all she wants is Cake and champagne. The last thing she expects to find in a dark guest room is her brother's black opts teammate, Javier. Of course he is the last person she should consider turning to, she knows the Delta Boys and their reputations. But there is something about Javier that she just cant ignore.

PS - Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job of narrating this incredible story. His performance only enhances Cristin's brilliance as an author.

Everyone needs a little Brazil!

No one writes sexual tension like Crisitin Harber. Jeffrey Kafer takes this tension to the next level with his narration. One of my favorite quotes from the book is "That accent is an orgasm waiting to happen." This couldn't be more true with Jeffrey's performance for this story.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! This is the best of the series so far in my opinion...although they are all good...and I recommend starting with book 1...Winter and Lola are meant to be!

Winter has wanted Lola back for a long time..they were high school sweethearts... but the life of a rocker is not easy, and things dont always go as they should...Well both Winter and Natasha have supernatural secrets and getting back together without sharing these secrets is not going to go as planned...When Natasha learns that Winter is a demon and why she runs away, but this put her at risk and the entity that is in her will not stay a bay...She almost dies trying to become whole, but it all turns out ok, Winter and Natasha are now one..

GREAT LISTEN!! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND! WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND A CREDIT!!!

Paranormal romance wrapped in a good love story.

Winter and Lola were great leads and you couldn't help but love them both. Winter was a very sexy alpha lead and Lola was a strong female- which I very enjoy.

The first three-quarters of the book really focused on their love affair, both the past and the development of their current relationship in the present. The last quarter of the book was a lot more intense in focusing on the underlying issue in their relationship, and I really enjoyed both pieces. It was like getting two books in one!

If you bought this book without knowing it has some paranormal aspects then you probably wouldn't know it until about 70% of the way through the book. (Yes, this was me!) I am not a typical paranormal romance listener, but this was a really good book. I am looking forward to more books in this series.

Joshua Mcacrae was strong in portraying both lead characters consistently.

Excellent..

In reading this book I realized something thats in 99.9% of all romance, since thats all I read. SLEEP! Or lack thereof. I dont know why these book characters dont just pass out from exhaustion. In this book Mac hasnt slept in 3 days. Really? Anyway, Mac finally falls asleep and then wakes up a couple of hours later and makes mad passionate love to Emily. Then goes back to sleep and gets up still exhausted, and so does Emily. Every single book Ive ever read the hero or heroine cant sleep, from worry, from too much on their mind, from desire for someone, from being toooo tired, from too much of something. When an author wants to add words to a book all they have to do is put them to bed then fill up 10, 15, 20 pages of tossing and turning, and thoughts of whatever is bothering them. If you think Im wrong then pay attention to the next few books you read, youll see.

Overall, I loved this book. Mac and Emily spent time falling in love and being angry with each other about it, and having sex. Mac did his best to try and concentrate on keeping Emily safe while Emily insisted that the bad guys wanted him dead, not her. He was a spy, after all, and between the RPGs used on the plane in Moscow and the attempted kidnappings at Heathrow and in Dallas it was never ending excitement.

I liked the secondary characters, Brody, Frank, Tony and Brenda. I especially liked when Brenda punched Victoria in the face (that girl was soooo stupid.) I felt sorry for Emily having such a selfish dimwit for a sister.

AND I have to admit that I cant remember a villain as bad or vicious or murderous as Ramon Marino in all the books Ive read. He was just so horrible in the things he did. He was soooo sick! So diabolical! I couldnt wait for him to be dead. I didnt want him captured! I wanted him dead!!!

There was sexual tension and sex in the story and swearing. The F-bomb was used 33 times.

I was surprised at the end of the book. The end was just so abrupt I couldnt believe it. Still a great story, though. With a HEA.

As to the narration: David Brenin did a wonderful job on the voices and he read decently BUT he has NO emotion whatsoever. Never a laugh or a whisper, or anything. That was pretty disappointing. But the men sounded sexy and the women sounded like women. With a little bit of work he could be an excellent narrator.

Okay story, very good narration.

This story was just okay for me. A lot of flaws and annoyances between these two characters. Insta lust for sure happening here. I think the hero Mac was a bit cheesy for being a bad a$$ Falcon Agent.

Ms. Wild does it again! I really loved this book, so the audio version was a must-have. I like the narrator, and of course, I love the story. This one isn't for the faint of heart. It's definitely an adult book. I'm a fan of insta-hate-turned-love, so I enjoyed this. :D

Deviously Delicious

I am new to the audible book thing but has this was only the 3 book I have listened at all it was the first of Jennifer's and I must say she did an awesome job. I found her to be able to voice the characters really well.

A dark and twisted tale filled with love hatred and betrayal. Stalker is a sit on the the edge of your seat thrill ride. I absolutely loved Phoenix and all of his darkness. Vanessa eventually wore on me though I struggled with connecting with her and thank god for the flashbacks because if it was not for those I would have despised her. I knew from killer that I hated Arthur I just could not pinpoint why. Now I know he was just as bad as his brother Phillip. It seems everyone fro Vanessa past was a bad seed except for Phoenix though her actions put him on a destructive path. Will their be redemption for the two lovers or is their past too much to overcome. Grab Stalker or the Stalker Duology and find out. You will be in for a Deviously Delicious Treat. 4.5

Heroine weak

The heroine is super weak. Her thought process deserved me and I wonder i she survived her whole life. I could not find redeeming qualities. So your brother abuses you and Basically sells you off to his club leader but you choose to go back even though you have no assurances you won't get raped or killed. But by all means be made st the guy who helped you and did require anything from you. Totally choose not to believe him but trust the guy who lied to you your whole life. Ummm no thanks.

Jesse and Trisha ! Really good writing, great twists and very well developed characters. Trisha felt like she had a lot of self esteem issues and I felt like I didn't get to know her character well. Jesse and Trisha had great chemistry. I have only read a few MC novels and this was one of the best. The plot was really good and I didn't feel any gaps. If you like a good MC novel check this out.

I really enjoyed listening to this! I've read all of the books in this series already and just loved them as a whole, a big 5++ stars collectively. There are some stories that just stick with you and this was one of them for me.

Before I Break was actually my least favorite of the series back when I first read them, originally only getting 3 stars. The first time through I hadn't liked the way Chris sounded in my head, he seemed whiny and weak. Granted I'm a huge team Cal fan & their personalities are vastly different so obviously I was going to not like Chris as much, but listening to it read really helped give more depth to his emotions.

That was actually one of the main reasons that I jumped at the chance to listen to this when the chance arose. I've never listened to an audio book before, but was hoping that listening to it could change my perspective, and it did. I had hated that I didn't enjoy this book as much as the rest of the series, and having listened to it, now I do.

It was great to hear Zachary Webber narrating this, his voice was very easy to listen to, in fact I listened to it all in one sitting. He did a wonderful job portraying Chris' confusion and frustration throughout the entire book. I especially liked the scene where first meets Lauren and his mind and body struggle against each other over what to do. : )

Interesting

Interesting story. But not interesting enough for me to purchase the other 2 books in the series. Although, if Zachary Webber were reading them I might make the effort.

Loved the book, and cant wait for the remaining of the books get made. Zachary Webber is the greatest. Definitely one of the best narrators out there. Please make the remaining books.

this book left me... unsatisfied. Kit was suppose to be a Red Team leader. But when it came to his relationship with Ivy, he was anything but. Ivy was conflicted as well and stayed in her confused head space for WAY too long into the story.I dint like Ivy character at all! I understand that she's wounded, that she has to rise a child alone and shunned, but I didn't get why she rejected Kit so much when she got the whole story.I also found very annoying Ivy insistence to date even after she and Kit slept together and he confessed that he want to be part of their life permanently.Other than this the book is good and interesting. I liked meeting all the characters from the previous books again and finding out what happened to them.

this multi layered mystery is awesome! I loved reading Kit and Ivy's love story and watching them fight insecurities and history to be together.

Would you consider the audio edition of Honor Unraveled to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version but very much enjoyed this story.

What other book might you compare Honor Unraveled to and why?

So far the stories have been very original to me.Loved the whole of KIt and Ivy. Loved Ivy because she was sincere in her doubts and honest about her failures. I am not a fan of female character who are unbelievable hard and have more testosterone than the men.

Which character as performed by Eric G. Dove was your favorite?

Want to hear more of Kellen. As a whole all of the heroes in this series have been beautifully portrayed. I bet Owen is another great story. absolutely love the voices . these are men you would want to know even Val.

Lot's of tears and some laugh's lot nail bighting.

All these men a so secure in their maleness there is nothing they shy away from. Loved Kit helping his daughter with her first period. I can see anyone of these guys holding his wife's handbag at the mall.
