A blonde-headed space-warrior, a cold-hearted female assassin from the Wild West and a teenager who can bend and reshape the fabric of reality walk into a brothel. What happens next? In Car Nex: The Mighty and the Merciless, author Joseph Ramshaw ponders that question in a bloody, action-packed tale inspired by '80s monster movies and the old Toho Kaiju films. You've seen The Avengers in action, you've thrilled at the heroics of The Justice League, now prepare to meet...the Face-Punchers, a foul-mouthed collection of the world's most deadly heroes, each with their own unique powers and skills to bring to the party. When an old enemy of the Face-Punchers conjures up a ferocious demon to destroy the world and its so-called heroes, it's up to them to put a stop to it. And there's only one way to stop a demon...with extreme violence! Heroes? Perhaps not. Face-Punchers? Hell yeah!
The Car Nex story series presents tales from a variety of horror authors based on Terry M. West's wicked demon, the Car Nex.

Catscratch Fever!
The Avengers for horror fans, The Face-Punchers are a ragtag team sent to a run-down house of ill repute to track down an ancient book which contains the power to unleash all Hell if fallen into the wrong hands. Oops, it appears that they were a bit too late...
Joseph Ramshaw's contribution to Terry M. West's 'Car Nex' series is fresh, fun, witty and exciting, boasting wonderful characters and another crazy, bloody rampage for the ferocious, frantic cartoon fight-cloud with evil eyes and neverending teeth.
Face punchers.
This story took me forever to read. While I appreciated the humor, that was about the only thing I enjoyed. Don't get me wrong here, because this is a well written story, and I can see that most people would like it. For me it was too much like a comic book. Super heroes and such. In my head I kept singing "here I come to save the day," which I believe was Mighty mouse's theme song. I'd recommend it, but it wasn't for me.
Full of wit, sarcasm and action!
I received a free copy of Car Nex: The Mighty and the Merciless in return for an honest review.
Car Nex: The Mighty and the Merciless was a wild and humorous read, it felt like all my favourite superhero movies and characters had been written into one story. It's full of fun characters, wit, sarcasm and some rather colourful language. Packed full of action from start to finish the pace never lets up till the very end. Brax reminded me very much of Leeroy Jenkins, I kept picturing him yelling this as he barrelled into action lol.
A fun read!
Exciting Story with Fun Snarky Humor!
In the distant future, a group of exceptional heroes search a brothel for the evil rumored to be hiding within its grimy walls. They find it, and then a lot more than they expected.
Joseph Ramshaw does a great job creating vivid characters and effortlessly weaving their histories into a fast-moving plot. Wise-cracks will make you chuckle, and the final epic battle scene will have your holding your breath. This story is a fantastic addition to the original work (Car Nex by Terry West). I enjoyed the action and humor, reminiscent of Joss Whedonâs style, and am looking forward to more writings by Ramshaw. Highly recommended!
