Withnail and I go up a mountain

A hilarious bumbling adventure. A couple of chaps, decide it would be an interesting diversion to saunter up a mountain in a hitherto unexplored region of Afghanistan.

Richard E Grant is the perfect narrator for this trip. Withnail's trip to Wales and this one have several parallels. I love the various negotiations with the local guides.

Honestly I was a little disappointed! I am going to Singapore for 3 weeks ...

Honestly I was a little disappointed! I am going to Singapore for 3 weeks and Chiang Mai Thailand for 2 weeks this upcoming June and July for a studyabroad/internship from Johnson & Wales University so I purchased both of these travel guides (Singapore & Chiang Mai). They're about 40 pages each with extremely large print and only highlight the basic top 10 major tourist attractions for each place. Realistically I was looking for something a little more in depth that highlighted cultural gems or off the beaten path things to see. Both of these books provided nothing more than typing in top ten places to see in Singapore or Chiang Mai and clicking on the 100 links that pop up. Sorry but i'll just have to search for another travel guide in the upcoming months. I also purchased a travel guide from lonely planet and it's an 800 page reference guide which highlights everything one could possibly do in Thailand; this is more of what I was looking for not just a brochure, pretty much, which I could've probably got at the airport.
