OMG WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ENDING!!

I just finished "Given" and "Take this Man" All I can say was they were incredible!!! I am so glad Kelli added on this book "Take this Man" to this wonderful series. What an amazing ending! I wish all books would end so detailed and so beautifully - you really hit this one out of the park with this series. I will greatly greatly greatly miss Rachael and Merrick ... I am so hoping Kelli will do a spinoff with some of the other couples in this series. This will be one series I will read over again. Thank you for such a beautiful series - it really was One of the Best I have ever read!!!! If you have not read this series, you are really missing out. I highly suggest you start with book one and read them all, I promise you will love each and every one of them!!!!

A great finish!

I'm sad to see this series end. Love Merrick and Rachael and their love story. Despite starting unconventionally, I feel like their love is timeless and you should read the whole series. It's worth it! Kelli's writing and story telling is wonderful and you can fully visualize each scene as if you're with them in the room.

Must read!!!!

My only disappointment is that it was way to short. I wished author would have made it longer. I don't want to spoil the ending and I won't I just would have liked it to last longer. This was a great series.

I'm sad this is the end but very pleased to have read the journey these characters were on. There's so much love and honesty that it overwhelms you (in a good way). This is a series definitely worth reading over and over.

Hot Erotica for those who enjoy the genre

If you could sum up The Big Book of Orgasms in three words, what would they be?

Exciting, Stimulating, Different.

What did you like best about this story?

I usually enjoy all erotica, GAY, Straight, Kinky, BDSM, it is what stimulates the mind and gets people off. Erotica, like any other fiction is written to entertain and stimulate. (The reader doesn't have to love every story) However if you are an individual who enjoys your own sexuality, then you should be able to understand and enjoy anyone who expresses their desires no matter how different or strange, (consenting adults). Yes there is roll play, and play with toys and some homosexuality. These are stories about the Big O. How people get them and give them. I found every story a delight.

Have you listened to any of Rose Caraways other performances before? How does this one compare?

I only heard Rose Caraway one other time and she is a wonderful narrator, even when talking from a man's point of view.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When you have so many stories I know I can't pick one. I found it well worth the cost for the over 8 hours of entertainment.

I've listened to many of Rachel Kramer Bussel's anthologies. She knows how to pick stories that will work, I always look for books by Rachel Kramer Bussel, or Alison Tyler, Violet Blue, Delilah Devlin. Especially when putting together anthologies. They are also great writers, and ofter end up in many of these anthologies. GIVE US MORE.

Would you consider the audio edition of Seduced by Fire to be better than the print version?

No I enjoyed both the print and audio version equally.

too many questions, not enough character

This was a contest win and going in I realized it was a short, unfortunately my usual expectations for a short story were unfulfilled, leaving me wondering about several key points. The author dives right in to a 'slice of life' story at a small country traveling carnival. The lead character and main voice of this story is often unnecessarily harsh-spoken, with few reasons established for her knee-jerk proclamations about any and every thing. Yes, being a single mother is tough - I"ve survived it - but making everyone else who you encounter, including your child, miserable with your mouth, reactions and sharp judgments is just wrong. And the insets from her supposed best friend's man about the freshman (yet 14 year old hs freshman?) daughter were HIGHLY uncomfortable and inappropriate - even if made in jest or used to reiterate the mother's sense of protectiveness.

Then we have the 'meeting' of the carnie as she takes a chance to ride. It was, as she repeatedly warned her daughter that they were not to be trusted, and only out for one thing. Sixteen years she has avoided entanglements, avoided men, and dislikes the whole idea of carnival workers like one dislikes mud on a white carpet - yet a prolonged glance, an inadvertent moment when she walks into him, and she is rushing back in a too tight, too short dress and too high heels to walk about a small town carnival. If the locals weren't bad-mouthing her before for her 16 and pregnant move - they certainly would now. See - I couldn't work up any sort of empathy for the main character...

The bright spot - the narration by Candice Rans that was part "Designing Women" and part Paula Deen, with just enough of a rough edge to the voice to feel legit. My one complaint with her work is the unexplained and often distracting pauses in the narration: where no pause should have existed. I have not read the copy, so I cannot say for sure, but the number of pauses in unexplained places could only be a narrative choice.

This was a contest win and gave me a good opportunity to sample the author's work as well as find a new to me narrator. I will certainly look for more audio from this narrator: perhaps I will look at a longer work that may suit her character development and plotting arc skills better than this short story format has

If youve listened to books by Laurann Dohner before, how does this one compare?

I think I had too high of expectations for Moon, especially as the other books were so very tremendous. This one lacked the drama, romance and sensuality that the other books were so full of also, this was placed in the erotic section in Coming Soon browser. I think I missed it somewhere.

What does Vanessa Chambers bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I think she gets better and better with each book and she has a real knack for keeping the voices consistent so that, for instance, Smiley's voices sounds the same throughout all of the books, as well as Tiger's, Moon's, etc. I always like hearing a good narrator rather than the one that talks in my head when I am reading. Good job VC.

Was Moon worth the listening time?

Absolutely, albeit somewhat disappointing.

Any additional comments?

Hope we don't have to wait too long for Harley, Flame, etc. and I hope they're on the same caliber as the first 8 books. This one felt rushed even though it seemed like forever that we, New Species fans, had to wait to listen to it.

I remember he was such a sweetie from the other books... and no he is not 247...the book we are all waiting for....I though his best bud was someone else...not Harley... but whatever...

This book was great... quite similar to the other New Species books... but thank goodness no anti-NS people from the outside tried to kill Moon's Mate this time... just her own client!

It was a good progressing drama, with some hot smexing...

I still don't like Trisha... in any book... she is just a twat!

Totally worth a buy, credit or sale if you have invested in the other books...

My love for New Species started way back in book One Fury and a body would think that by book 10 my love would have waned. That is SO NOT the case!

The story was very good but the title did not match the story.

Smexy quickie!

I do not generally listen to the full erotic reads, I like more story to my sex. This was a surprise because there is an interesting bit of story wrapped up in the steam. Don't get me wrong, the sex is the point of the story but the characters managed to be compelling as well.

This takes alien abduction to a different place. Very steamy and naughty! Things jump into smexy very quickly. The first episode tricks you into thinking it might all be a dream, but leaves you with a shocker at the end. The next episode ratchets things up with an orgy, one woman and five men. The final installment is another orgy with one man and five women, yeah FF action is part of the story. things are very detailed and uber hot!! Have the cold shower ready after every episode! Holy Hannah!!!

The book ends with kind of a HEA. veronica is an interesting character and very in touch with her own fantasies. I generally liked her and the way she carried herself. She definitely had more depth than I could have expected in this type of read. Kyle is rather shallow at first but turns out interesting in the end. What a delightfully wicked surprise this book turned out to be!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Marlowe Harrison. She does an excellent job of keeping the pace and adding feeling into the read. She has a terrific voice that suited the book very well. I do not generally get all hot and bothered from a woman's voice, but this was a delicious exception.

The only major "eh" for me personally is the first person narrative.

Different...

Do not go into this book thinking it is anything like 50 Shades of Grey. It's a book that focuses more on the sadistic side of BDSM then the pleasure or sexual nature of it. Example would be describing in detail whipping and flogging, followed up with "they had rough sex".

Also, be aware there is not a whole lot of character development. The book seems to have a very specific goal of conveying events, rather then making you feel for any specific character.

Once you let go of any predetermined pretenses, it is a good story and I would recommend it. Have an open mind though or you will be disappointed.

you have to view it as an alternate reality to enjoy it. like this is totally possible if the world were different in medieval times. I didn't feel so much aroused as I felt intrigued to see how harnessing ones Sexual drive weakens one into utter submission.

Anne Rice is intriguing in her genre of titillating lit -- this started out strong, but when Prince got home to Mommy he suddenly lost his mojo? The rest of the tale lacked juice.

Possibly -- I've tried others, they have some appeal, but are unnecessarily lengthy and bogged down.

Great Story

although my childhood has been altered, I really enjoyed this story. the plot was captivating. and beauty's story was giving a whole new erotic perspective that was both arousing and addictive.

Well if you want a big helping of BDSM smut,

then you've found it. the writing is about as good as anything else in this genre. +1 for having same-sex scenes about as frequently as hetero scenes,with plenty of dominant women.
