The Best Voice in the Genre!!

All right, I'll admit it, I'm a Rose Caraway fan.

In my opinion, no one does the narration of an erotic story better than Rose. I've been listening to her for years now, first on the Kiss Me Quick's and Sexy Librarian podcasts, then on her ever expanding catalog of audio books. Each one has been better than the last.

Rachel Kramer Bussel has edited many fine anthologies, and this is one of the finest I've ever read. The combination of these stories and Rose's voice makes for an unbeatable combination. I'm a guy, but I felt sucked right into these stories. They made my morning and evening commutes wonderful experiences.

If you could sum up Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 1 in three words, what would they be?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 1?

I liked Starstruck, because I'm also a bit of a geek and the idea of meeting one of my favorite actors thrills me. I of course loved Tiffany Reisz's story, which takes the office romance to a whole new level.

What does Rose Caraway bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She makes me feel like I'm right there with the characters. I'm a listener of her podcast The Kiss Me Quicks and this felt like an extension of what she's doing there. I could listen to her all day.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the sensuousness of the painting scene in A New Canvas. It was sexy and tender at the same time and gave me shivers. I also really loved Two Doms for Dinner. The author really made me understand what it's like to want to give up control in that way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 1?

The BDSM story Two Doms for Dinner. It was delicious! I really liked how all three of them were so into it and how much she wanted to please both doms.

What about Rose Caraways performance did you like?

She made everything sultry. She has a voice I could listen to any day.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me a little breathless at times. I liked that some stories were about strangers or friends hooking up and others were about couples exploring things. Made a good mix.

Good read

Great book and a must read. It kept me captivated the entire time. I'm an insomniac and reading is my mantra. I would recommend this book to anyone!

So the story of Allison and Robert continues exactly where Stoned: A Billionaire Stepbrother With Benefits Romance left off. She's just found out the big news ... what to do, what to do...

I have to give Cynthia Sharon credit because this installment brought the LOL with a bang for me. I absolutely love the direction she is taking with both Allison and Robert's attitudes towards the whole step-sibling matter. It's exactly how it should be! The story had no awkward moments of intimacy, but once again, it does leave you craving and wanting. And altho that is a good thing when it comes to stories told in installments, there also should be a sense of purpose to the story. As of right now, this reader has no clue what the objective or end game is to this story...because all I'm reading are moments in time. There's not enough story being told to even give me an idea of a HEA or HFN ending, if there's even one...

The problem with stories told in this format is that, as a reader, the second I begin to get comfortable with the story and/or invested, it ends ... and we play the waiting game for the next installment. In my opinion, this takes away from the excitement of the story .. turns what is an engaging and exciting sexy story, anticlimactic.

I still want to make sure all future readers know this: The idea/concept of this story is unique and well told. If you don't mind this type of format, then this story would be one you should one-click immediately!

Getting heated up

It seems that Arrow and Goldilocks canât stay away from each other. All though they havenât consummated their meetings. I know itâs soon to come, itâs like they are fated to be together. Canât wait to see how they get out of the pantry? What do they say to his mom?

Short but sweet n sexy

I really enjoy her writing style and storyline. I look forward to each new book the moment I'm done reading each issue. My dislike is that they feel more like short stories. I would really appreciate longer books.

Not meant for lesbians or women in general

There were a few stories that were okay, but this series is definitely targeted toward men only.

Not really "Lesbian".

This title is a misnomer. Erotica between straight women is not the same as Lesbian. The narrators were not as good as I would have liked, and at least one was so annoying I had to skip that story entirely.

I haven't listened to all of the short stories, but all of the ones so far have been sexual encounters between straight women, not lesbians. Disappointing

50 Adult Lesbian story ranging from Awesome to Awful.

Most were pretty good Lesbian Erotica. Some stories like My night with Hallie(? on name) was Awesome. Then there were a handful that made you wonder had the writer ever had sex with an actual woman? But over all its a very enjoyable collection. And well worth the money or credit. Just a hint though- this is better listened to in small doses a few short stories at a time. I can't image to listening to straight through in one setting.

Great collection of short stories. Very erotic and seductive. D. Rampling and Layla Dawn are two of my favorites. Miss Rampling has the sexiest voice! I will listen again.

Good stories, the narration is a let down

The narrators vary per story or rather alternate between the stories.

One narrator sounded like a 50 year old smoker. Definitely was not the easiest chapter to listen to.

Very creative stories and with better narration it would be a 5.

This is a thrill ride with science fiction, military, medical and of course erotic spanking romance. Dr. Lara Simmons encounters many challenges as she tries to heal the war wounds on Jesel. Not the least of which is Blade. She learns quickly, exactly what is meant by his moniker, the hand of vengeance.

Ive read and listened to several of Renee Roses books and she never fails to exceed my expectations. This is also my third experience listening to Sierra Kline read. She is fast becoming my favorite reader.

Great Intergalactic BDSM Story

The Hand of Vengeance began with Dr. Lara Simmons being taken by the group of rebels lead by Blade Vengeance. Without knowing what Lara was kidnapped for, Lara did everything she could think of in escaping.

Blade has only one mission which is to bring Dr. Lara Simmons to perform an emergency surgery which would save the rightful exiled President's life and restored her to power. Lara refused to obey his rules which are to keep her safe. The only thing that Blade could do was to discipline her by spanking.

What Lara didn't count on was that her traitorous body like being spanked by Blade and has her sexually aroused. Tried as she might, she can't help but admired Blade for his heroic actions in freeing his people from the slavery.

The story is very well written and told from Lara and Blade's point of view. Both characters came from a different background. Lara couldn't trust Blade that he would keep her save and to keep his word that she will be released after she has completed a task for the rebels. Blade couldn't offer Lara anything after being a slave and a freedom fighter.

Blade didn't planned on falling for Lara. She was a distraction that he cannot afford when preparation for the final strike of the revolution against the tyrant in power.

Another thing I like about the story is that the relationship develops between Lara and Blade.

Why can't all erotica collections be this great?

This collection is fantastic. Such a great mix of narrators and all types of stories. If all erotica collections were done like this I'd become an addict. But at least if I go blind, I can still listen to these hot as hell ladies!

dull...mostly boring narrations..

gonewildaudio has better ones. and is free.. this is just not worth it. would return it if i could.

Just okay

It has to be said that the stories are grouped by category, not random, so you're going to hear a lot of the same thing for chunks at a time. Some of the stories are good, but I'm finding that all end up with both parties orgasming at the same time. I seriously cannot help but roll my eyes at this since this is something so much more uncommon than people think. And I know, I know, it's a fantasy book. But seriously, if I'm rolling my eyes at the end of each story, that isn't exactly fulfilling its intended purpose.

Also, several of the narrators sound like they're reading stereo instructions with really annoying, shrill voices. I find myself skipping through those ones until I find the narrator I think actually does a good job, Rebecca Wolfe.

All in all I wouldn't say it's bad, but I'm also not sure why the ratings are so ridiculously high. This book could definitely be structured differently to add a little excitement, and the narrators could do a better job of narrating.

Takes you. to different places, you really use you imagination as you listen to every detail.

Never again

After the last collection of erotica short stories you'd think I'd have learned my lesson. This is basically 25 hours of terribly written porn. The dialogue is so cheesy, the situations are ridiculous, and most of the encounters are borderline rape.
