    Amazing Read!
Daniel, Jill, and Greg are the best of friends...peas in a pod....three musketeers....they are lucky to have one another living on such a small and secluded island like they do. An innocent stroll on the beach after a wicked storm changes things though, and not just about their friendship, but about everything on the whole island. Daniel, Jill, Greg, and Daniel's little brother Mikey go out to the beach to see what the storm may have washed up on shore. What they find is anything but usual, it is a man...what looks to be a dead man. When Daniel suddenly sees the man's eyes flash all the colors of the rainbow he tries to logically think it away as a reflection of the rainbow that seems to have led him to find the man. Soon Daniel knows something about this John Dee is not as it seems or should be. Quickly everyone loves him and seems to think only he knows what is right. Good things start to happen on the island, so they all think John is good luck. Daniel knows the truth and sees John for what he really is, but how can he get anyone to believe him when John seems to be so helpful? Soon Daniel is in the fight for the island peoples' lives and is desperately trying to get Jill and Greg back on his side. Will he get the help from his friends that he needs to find out what or who John Dee really is? Will it be in time to save the island and it's people? Will Daniel really want to accept the truth of John if and when he does find it?
This book was a very easy and quick read for me. It was really easy to get in to and was a book that once you started to read you were wanting to not stop until you could finish it. I just loved the way things unrolled, but there was still more than enough questions in your mind that you just had to read more. Every time I thought I may have the answer I was quickly proven wrong as I read on. The plot was one to suck you in from page one all the way to the ending page.

    Nine layers...the whole nine yards?
This ebook is a wander through the mind and collective experiences of Dean Moriarty. A travelling poet and artist one can see the influences of many cultures and happenstance in this book. Think ethereal 'restaurant at the end of the universe' and you will be some way toward being able to 'get-it' with this book. I personally like the intellectual prose and I think any reader of Douglas Adams-esque material should too!

She doesn't expect to butt heads with a handsome rancher over the danger involved.
Jack Garrison is ranching land passed down from generation to generation. When the volcano threatens to blow, he refuses to leave his cattle to perish. Instead, he works to save them, herding them as far away from the volcano as possible. Once his livelihood is safe, he turns to helping those who need him; namely the beautiful daughter of a missionary who challenges everything he believes in.
This unlikely couple join forces as part of a team to warn the villagers of impending danger and find themselves falling in love despite the odds against them. Can they survive nature's fury and each other's differences in order to forge a future together?

    Sweet story
Sweet story. The narrator sounded like she was trying to get the story told in double time. She didn't pause for sentence endings or thoughts. At first I didn't think I could listen or I would be out of breath keeping up. But I got used to it.

    Publisher's Summary:
From USA Today best-selling author Angela Fristoe comes the concluding installment of an emotionally touching trilogy for young adults, Watch Me.
The Matlin triplets are gifted with unique abilities. Phoebe hears the lies, Lily heals the hurt, and Chloe sees the future.
For Chloe, her gift of prophecy has proven the future to be unshakeable. Nothing ever changes, and no one really has a choice. The future is what it is, and Chloe accepted that a long time ago.
Then her sisters convince her to try changing her future. When she succeeds, the black and white certainty she's always had vanishes. It turns blurry with infinite possibilities she can barely distinguish, and everything she ever expected to happen is lost. Only Sebastian's future gives clues about what's coming, and it's filled with images of blood and death.
But Chloe can't change the future when the choices aren't hers to make, and if she can't change it, can she accept it?
Some things are worth waiting for. Your future is one of them.

    Satisfying
The end book of this YA trilogy couldn't be better. Through romance, high school ennui, and tragedy we watch the triplets come to terms with their gifts and mature, and learn to be adults with gifts they control, that don't control them. I truly loved this series.
    Doing a British accent w Bastian's character
I really liked the suspense of this book. I would like to know if anyone else felt it necessary to do a British voice in there head for Bashtian"s character. I truly enjoyed this book
    LOVED IT!
LOVED Watch Me! Really liked the entire series, but Watch Me was definitely my favorite! Would do just about anything for a Chloe / Sebastian spin off. :p
    The choices we have
The third book of the Matlin girlsâ trilogy was about Chloe the triplet who sees the future. The story continues with the boyfriends issues and most important, a vision of betrayal that disrupt Chloeâs life. She tried to change the future with the help of her friends and when things got worse she began to have second thoughts about her gift. She didnât understand what was happening with her gift. When she realized that the odd friend, Bastian, was an important piece of the puzzle she saw a different future for her sisters and her friends and that was very scary. This YA story was more complex that the first two books. They got better with each book. Chloe worked around the choices that life offers and what people choose. Life was not black and white as her grandmother explained to her and she must learn to open her mind to the odds and work with them. Liked the author writing style, the characters, the teens drama and the theme. I found the story very interesting with a development that appeals both adults and young. Definitely, Iâll be looking for more books from this author.
Received the ARC for an honest review.
    This Trilogy is ASTOUNDING!
I can always count on Angela Fristoe to deliver a quick and entertaining read! This series has been no exception, with every book even better than the last (which never seems possible going into things!) The Matlin triplets have been really made for an engaging and ORIGINAL series, with each book following one of them. Lie to me, book 1, follows Phoebe and her ability to hear lies. Book 2, Heal Me, follow Lily and her gift to heal.

    Great Read!
I didn't really know what to expect at first. I'm not much on ghost stories and was a little afraid of what would go on in an orphanage. What a surprise! This is an interesting story of boys being boys while living under the loving guidance of the good monks. There are some mysteries and a few just plain mean doings but it all comes together in the end. The narration was very good, some parts keep you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed it.

Stunning Book -- great plot, language, characters
This book is a stunning young adult thriller that will get under your skin and haunt you even after you finish it. With language of beauty, urgency, and meaning, we follow a teen through her journey in a dangerous nation divided by religion. Orphaned "K" gets recruited to try to flush out terrorists in one of the main academies run by the religious fundamentalists. K's world has been strictly defined by her "citizen" status, which comes with perks denied the "hoodie" fundamentalists. Her arrival in the other half of the city opens up a whole new world for her -- one that gives an alternative narrative to the citizen-vs-hoodie story she has learned. K navigates an alien culture, which is written with creepy realistic details of being watched and judged and in danger. I won't say anything more about the plot, but I will say if you aren't sucked in by the first few pages, I'd be very surprised. Each character is well drawn and full-fledged, the action is incredible, and the ending superb. I think I held my breath through most of the book. It's a book that will keep you up at night -- don't start it if you have anything important the next day. ;)
    Excellent and timely thriller!
We live in uncertain times, a world where lines are increasingly blurred and crossed, where zealots think nothing of spilling blood for their cause while the innocent bystander is caught in the crossfire. Despite this â love, hope and friendship continue to blossom as people stand against the extremists and strive for peace.
ONE OF US by Jeannie Waudby is a perfect example of this never-ending battle as we meet K, a fifteen year old orphan whose life has once again been touched by tragedy as she narrowly escapes a terrorist attack. Recruited by Oskar, an undercover policeman to infiltrate the other side, K soon learns that the truth isnât always black and white and the enemy so easy to recognise.
Kâs world consists of the Brotherhood and the Citizens. Warring for years, the two sides have agreed on an uneasy peace and have begun a reconciliation process to integrate the Citizens and the Brotherhood into one cohesive society. Transgressions such as the bomb attack K experienced threaten its shaky survival. As an attempt to discover potential militant and rogue elements of Brotherhood society, Oscarâs unit recruits K to attend a Brotherhood school and identify students at risk of being drawn to the extremists and used as pawns in their fight. As K is embedded deeper into the Brotherhood, she begins to learn that there are two sides to every story and the âtruthsâ she has been told as a Citizen may not be as accurate as she once thought.
ONE OF US is a tense and thrilling story about betrayal, propaganda, trust and recognising that while there is much to tear us apart, itâs the things that truly make us human that are most easily identifiable and vital for our collective survival.

With secret passageways, and locked doors and secret, concealed rooms and lots of false walls and panels and cubbyholes. When Jae visited the well-renowned Rothwell Lodge, known as Sedalia Missouri's Castle on the Hill, she was suspicious from the first. Why did Rothwell have so many secret things about the Castle? Why was his wife Hattie a recluse, who died two years after their marriage? And why, to top it all, are there so many parallels between Rothwell Lodge and the sinister Rothwell Castle in Scotland?
Meanwhile, as Jae is solving one mystery, she is plunged into the middle of another. Teaching school to beautiful, big-eyed Gypsy children seems such a wonderful opportunity. But when she gets there, she comes face to face with one of the most invincible Mafia gangs in the world. When she realizes, sitting in her bedroom at the Mennonite mission, that she is in a den of thieves, she wonders, "God, am I ever going to see my family again?" And what about Nick, the sweet widower with the two little children she met on the train? Would she ever see him again either?
This audiobook is a sequel to The Life I Never Lived, and like it, is also a true story, with the exception of a few details.

    Good clean shivery fun
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, for a pre-teen, this is fun material, and well performed in the audio reading.
Have you listened to any of Douglas W. Taylors other performances before? How does this one compare?
He's really good. Very well suited to "shivery" material. All his books seem to be full of fright or zombies.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes, I did.
    Any additional comments?
I love that I can adjust the speed of the audio reading on my Kindle Fire. Then I can either enjoy all of the nuances of the story and voices -- or speed it up a little if I want to get to the next chapter before dinner(!)

Books contain countless tales - but what if Book told its own story? From clay tablets to e-readers, here is a quirky, kid-friendly look at the book.
Books are one of humankind's greatest forms of expression, and now Book, in a witty, idiosyncratic voice, tells us the inside story. A wonderfully eccentric character with strong opinions and a poetic turn of phrase, Book tells of a journey from papyrus scrolls to medieval manuscripts to printed paper and beyond - pondering, along the way, many bookish things, including the evolution of the alphabet, the library (known to Egyptians as "the healing place of the soul"), and even book burning. Book is a captivating work of nonfiction by one of England's leading poets.

Excellent book! Witty, insightful, very well illustrated
better potential than how it is executed here
    Book by John Agard
I was really looking forward to Book by John Agard (writer) and Neil Packer (illustrator), but to be honest, I found this autobiography told from âBookâsâ perspective to be more than a little disappointing.
Itâs a breezy whirlwind of a history of the book (really pre-book since it runs through clay tablets and scrolls first) told from a first-person point of view of Book itself. I canât say the POV is wholly successful as it often seems to me to strain for the cheery, cutesy direct address kind of voice that Iâm not usually a big fan of in childrenâs writing. And Iâd also say it does get a little muddy in that it has both a sense of speaking for universal âBookâ and yet also being a singular book, as when it refers to the other paperbacks on the shelf around it or talks of being a scroll (âYouâd hold me in in one hand, and with the other youâd be rolling me out . . .
