For those of you who have not heard of Rhadi Ferguson - you should really join the rest of us who have. Rhadi Ferguson is a 2004 Olympian in the sport of judo, a former (unbeaten) professional MMA fighter with Strikeforce, has a PHD in sports science and is the only athlete to have ever competed in The judo Olympics, the World BJJ championships, and the ADCC. Oh and he's probably about the most productive judo coach in the world in regards to online and video instructional series.

in 2009 Rhadi began producing short video clips called "Coffee with Rhadi" on his popular youtube channel. In these he began to lay out his thoughts on how to be successful as well as promoting some of his numerous martial arts and S&C products. The book Coffee with Rhadi is taken directly from these excerpts. It therefore sticks to this subject area, effectively making "Coffee with Rhadi" a self-help book.

As a former full-time elite judoka and Commonwealth judo silver medallist myself Rhadi's views on how to be successful resonated strongly with me. This is not a systematic blueprint for victory but rather a series of small "conversations" on topics such as: learning how to win, categorising your relationships, taking responsibility for your own development and other such things.

Rhadi's tone is informal and very approachable - but the delivery is clear and thought provoking. The only negatives are a (very) few editorial slips, with the odd double spacing or missing letter, which leads me to suspect that this is a self-published piece. The informality is also a double edged sword. It makes the book much more approachable and even "unputdownable" but on the other hand, this prevents some of the chapters from having as much structure as they could have. That said, none of those issues prevents me from whole-heartedly recommending it.

I think that fighters and athletes could do worse than invest in this little book. I believe the difference between the elite and the good is actually very small.

This book changed my views in many ways

The first work of Victor Hugo Manzanilla does not disappoint. I have been a regular reader of the blog "Liderazgo Hoy" (Leadership Today) for a long time and I have been benefited by the articles that Victor Hugo publishes there. This book takes its thoughts to another level. It simply describes how life is meant for us to be full of purpose. It is up to us to decide to turn our lives into a story full of transcendent and extraordinary adventures. In us is the role we want to play, the way we face our problems, the way we overcome our obstacles and the lessons we get from them. The hero's journey is nothing more than the lens we use to see life.

Reading the book is simple and not loaded with fluffy language. As soon as I received the book it took me a few hours to read it. It will surely be a book that you read several times as the concepts are presented in a very concise and practical way. In addition, Victor Hugo uses many examples that bring their concepts to real life and make us feel that becoming a hero is not as difficult as we think. I hope you launch your next book soon!

Very informative book.

Living a Positive Life means happiness and success. We all need to have a positive thinking in our day-to-day living in order to have a good vibes. In this book we can get to experience in living a more positive outlook in life.

Worth purchasing!

One has to renew our thoughts and speech and this will in turn change our thinking process, which in turn will eliminate worry and inner strife. Great book! Loaded with great nuggets for personal and professional development! Easy reading and highly recommended!

Nuggets fo Gold

Freedom From Fear the book is full of life nuggets. this book is not overtly religious but behind each nugget of gold is a biblical truth. I teach at a technical college and will use these nuggets to display for short times to provoke thinking. A book like Freedom From Fear is what I wish I could have read when I was younger to decrease some of the mistakes of my life. Of course reading the Bible more could have done the same thing.
