My son loves this.

My son is a spider enthusiast, and is obsessed with them! We got him this book for his birthday and he loves it. It has a nice story and very good narration which helps explain the life of a spider in terms my four-year-old understands.

Great Book!

I found these books because the homeschool curriculum Heart of Dakota recommends them. We downloaded the Kindle version so I could read it to my daughter at bedtime. It is such a good little story! We downloaded many others like this and look forward to reading the rest in this series. My daughter looks forward to a few chapters in this book now every night.

Burgess is always a winner in our house

My 7yo loves the Burgess animals stories. Adventures of Reddy Fox is no exception. The version I have is the pink hardcover "bedtime story books" series by grosset & dunlap. Very good older quality book, with black & white illustrations, and a clean large print.

Innocent

These are all great books for small children. Perfect for reading a chapter every night at bedtime. And children will learn much about the various animals that live in the green meadows and the green forest.

Excellent book

This short chapter book is perfect for my second grader. We homeschool and I read this to her every other day. The chapters are short and always have good lessons. She thoroughly enjoys it!

New Adventures In The Country

For those of us who follow Ree Drummond, for her Food Cooking/baking shows on the Food Network, read her blogs and follow her life, her new book was exciting news. Ree has written a book about life as a child, Little Ree. Little Ree and her family are moving from the city to the country to live with grandma and grandpa. This could be Ree's story.

Little Ree looks at this move as a big adventure. And, from our insight into the grown up Ree, we know how upbeat and positive she is. The country is a big adventure, new animals, yucky little animal droppings on the ground, early morning hours, but all in all, this adventure is the most wonderful thing for Little Ree. Grandma wakes her up early to help with chores, and then help make breakfast. And, then, a big country bar be que with her family and cousins. This is a fast paced, fun time, and will appeal to most children. I particularly like the tone of the book, upbeat and positive. This sends such a good message to our children, and to their adults.

The storyline is fun and it is appealing to most everyone. The illustrations by Jacqueline Rogers are bright, vibrant and colorful. They depict all the adventures of Little Ree and her colorful attire. Her red hair in braids and her blue cowboy boots. This appears to me to be the beginning of a series about Little Ree in her her new found home in the country.

Adorable New Children's Book!

This is a precious book! My seven year old son and four year old daughter are already huge fans of Ree Drummond's "Charlie the Ranch Dog" series of books, and now we (hopefully!) have another series from her to enjoy! The illustrations are beautiful to look at and wonderfully capture the feelings of Little Ree as she makes her transition into country life. Little Ree has an adorable little personality too.

Creatively amusing for all ages

At first I was put off by the narrator. She has an apathetic voice that turns down at the end of every sentence, much like Jen, Roz's annoyingly bored cousin on Frasier. However, given a chance, the narrator's talents come through via the different characters' voices. I believe many a children will enjoy this audio book more than the adults will because of the differing voices, but I highly recommend the adults give it a go.

As usual, Ms. Burke's creativity surprises even this veteran reader, making me chuckle with the ingenuity of her use of language. Thaddeus Whispers and the Dragon is a must listen for any audio book fan.

Yes. Who doesn't love kittens and when mixed with a dragon tale it was an exciting and fun story.
