Very cute story. Good quality paperback.

love this book!

my 2 year old son loves elephants, and we love reading this book about Oliver! If your child enjoys Danny and the Dinosaur, I highly recommend adding this book to your library! Very easy words- will be wonderful to use when he is learning to read!

Five Stars

great book from my childhood

Received one as a gift and have bought for 2 more friends

Make sure you realize this is the small size!! Some of the pages are cropped, and you don't get the full feel for the amazing artwork. We prefer the larger size book, which I found for $5 at Barnes & Noble, since the color strokes and color combinations are beautiful to see.

Great early chapter book

My son is six and is a huge baseball fan. For now, I read these books to him, but he is starting to be able to read some of the chapters on his own. He really loves that the characters carry through each book and I love that he is learning a little bit about new cities as we read each one. I'm so happy to have found this series for him!

Another book I purchased for my grandson for Christmas. ...

Another book I purchased for my grandson for Christmas. He loves baseball so I believe this will be a hit also.

great for young baseball fans

great, easy books for young baseball fans. i just wish they were a little longer or more challenging. my son is 7.5 and i feel these are too easy for him, polishing them off in a few hours. but he loves them, so we anxiously await each new installment.

Ballpark Mysteries #9

Nice story line for the age group. Not too detailed, but just enough to keep the reader's interest. Enjoy the Ball park history lessons at the end of each book.

Three Stars

such a funny story. Very simple to read

a fun adventure!

Would you consider the audio edition of Butterfly's Big Adventure to be better than the print version?

I believe that reading it with its lovely illustrations would be better verse audio. I only used audio to make it more convenient for myself to listen to it and then review it.

What other book might you compare Butterfly's Big Adventure to and why?

other children's storybooks with the main character traveling to distant lands without a guardian.

What about Christy Williamsons performance did you like?

I loved how she helped emphasize the adjectives in the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The butterfly traveled across the land without someone to lead her or to direct her.

Title: Animated Movie Princess Origin Stories

Author: Linda Velwest

Narrator: Linda Velwest

Format: Unabridged

Length: 5 hrs and 54 mins

Language: English

Release date: 11-25-14

Publisher: Linda Velwest

Ratings: 2 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

This audiobook is a collection of fairy tales that some animated princess movies have been based on. Many of these stories were written by the Brothers Grimm - Wilheim and Jacob. Other movies are based on stories by Hans Christian Anderson. Many of these stories can be found in collections of stories by these two authors. They can also be found in Fairy book collections by Andrew Lang such as The Blue Fairy Book, The Yellow Fairy Book, The Red Fairy Book, and so on. Two of the stories are about real life "princesses" - Pocahontas and possibly Mulan. I have gathered them here in one volume with some illustrations. I've included two different, but similar, stories of Sleeping Beauty to show how the same story can be told in a different way. I hope it is interesting for people to listen to the stories that some of the most beloved animated princess movies have been based on. You can see how the stories sparked the imaginations of the screenwriters. Especially in the case of The Snow Queen many basic parts of the story have changed in the movie, but it is fun to pick out the familiar elements. There is no fairy tale of a red haired Scottish princess archer. That movie story came entirely out of the imagination of the screenwriter. But sit back, grab some tea, and enjoy, and maybe you can read some of these stories out loud to a young child you know.
