Different narrator
The first book had a very young sounding guy reading. This guy is a major change. It took me a while to get used to his voice but in the end it sounded right for the part.
Peculiar and Suspenseful
A very well written suspenseful adventure! I do recommend that you read Book #1 first otherwise you might be a bit lost because of all the unique references in Peculiardom.
Lost of twist and turns. Very unique and creative.
Suspenseful & Frustrating
Our peculiar hero's are trapped emotionally and perceptively as children with decades of experience with the same day. I don't think you could create a more devilishly agonizing fatal flaw.
Well Written, Not as Engrossing as #1
The first book was fascinating, learning about all the oddities and abilities of the children stuck in a perpetual time loop.
In Hollow City, the kids embark on a mission to locate another to turn Mrs. Peregrine's back to human form. Along the way, they meet new peculiars, whites, hollows, and have difficulty navigating the different time periods and obstacles associated with each. While this book is extremely well written, I wasn't engrossed and would have skipped it. I'm a non-sci-fi fan, but will dabble if I like the characters and/or storyline. This one was too much sci with no further character discovery and development. Better skipped or skim the book. Kirby Heyborne is not my favorite male narrator.

It keeps the story going and has some great twists and turns. I could hardly stop listening to this book.

They are all my favorite. Each one brings something different to the table. He does a great job of describing the characters and their peculiarisms.
What about Kirby Heybornes performance did you like?
He is so great! Love, Love, Love, him!!!!

Yes, it just sucks you in.

A thrid book is coming out early next year and now I have to wait. This is the second book of the MIss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
