The grass lay always lush

At night on a sleeping pillow

The mind forgets to hush

For hidden thoughts and dreams do live

Even in the world’s own dark abyss

For bodies hold the inner soul

Where inner thoughts can always roam

And answers always on display

If you marry thoughts, your thoughts control your eyes,

At once you think to judge, your hateful thoughts arise.

If sizing up a vessel makes you feel secure,

Your mind becomes a host, a reality obscured.

If only you’d reflect on who it is you are,

And see we’re all connected, or ever fall apart.

No one is superior, we’re souls encased in flesh,

What matters is interior, so give those thoughts a rest.

For shiny little objects are only but a rock, paper dollars crumble, and so, too, your stock.

Monopoly a game that many men have played, but so too a war, that many seek to claim.

All but one surrender for power is a tool, but power has a limit, and everyone will lose.

All above the ashes fall into the sky, all is lost and all they took, but no one left to cry.

A seed shall always grow if only land is left, for if they all but burn, then life remain at rest.

Above all else the Universe shall house another soul, for even in a slumber, life creates pure gold.

Turning pages to the light

For when it’s dark, they’re out of sight

The words were written from a thought

But soon forgotten, to be lost

And yet the books will see the flames

For evil spreads its ignorant reign

Protect the knowledge from the fuel

And wield the words as such a tool

The future seeks to rid the past

Today forgotten, gone at last

Warnings given all throughout

Unless you hear them, you will doubt

Heed the words for they are true

Or all is lost without a clue.

Growing old in age but the man still fights

Another unpromised day but he dare not cry

Even when his bones ache, he always fills his child’s plate

No wonder he’s depressed in a world so cold

Now he’s eating less as the bills unfold

He works himself to death so his child can live

To sacrifice himself is as selfless as it gets

In his eyes he is worthless, for somebody told him so

But in the eyes of his child, he’s determined, for he’s never letting go

Love to the old man with the pure, unbroken, soul.

On such a day of darkness and tears

Came a way of new life and mirrors

On the screen was a speck of growth

Such a discovery was not one she chose

She felt alone and sullen with fear

But things would change well in the year

The heartbeat was fluttering, living so true

Her memory faded, returned to the moon

Now she was glowing, growing with life

And now to the mirror she says her goodbye

Over the moon were the glow in her eyes

Beyond her reflection her soul had arised

A new beginning set on the horizon

Happiness now was worth more than diamonds

For when she discovered the new little life

Like a Blueberry was her little size

Over the hill was new meaning and worth

For the most important of all was the day of her birth.

Where sounds become energy
