The DISCy Chicks are excited to present Holly Firestine, Chief People Officer at Ethos Veterinary Health as our guest this week. Ethos operates a national network of emergency and specialty animal hospitals in 25 locations in the U.S. Holly’s early business experience was in operations. She gravitated over time to the people side of the business in human resources. She also has been a successful entrepreneur and knows what it takes to drive business success.
She was first introduced to DISC while she was studying for her MBA. Listen as she shares with us her “ah ha” moment as she learned the benefits of having diverse DISC styles on her grad school team. Holly learned the power of DISC and how the different styles complement one another on teams.
This diversity resulted in the team being extraordinarily successful.
While Ethos has used DISC in the past, her plan is to complete an engagement initiative throughout the organization. She then plans to use those results to take a strategic approach in applying DISC to enable the leaders in the organization to drive high performance and motivation among their teams.

"For me, the introduction to DISC was life changing!" Cynthia Matheny
The DISCy Chicks wrap up their Selling with DISC series with special guest Cynthia Matheny, president and founder of The Inspired Mind.
In her early career, Cynthia was exposed to DISC while working in the real estate business. Her company used DISC in the hiring process for job fit, but Cynthia quickly recognized other benefits of DISC. Cynthia made assessing her prospective clients almost a science. She was very intentional when meeting with her clients to listen and observe their behavioral clues. Cynthia created her presentation and conducted herself in a way that met the communication preferences of her prospects.
Eventually Cynthia left behind the real estate business to coach and train using DISC. We invite you to listen in as Cynthia loads us up with great selling tips!
