Disney Channel Original Groupies

As 25 year old women who talk about children's movies for hobby, we can relate to the 40 year old women who play 14 year olds in Double Teamed!

Featuring an actress named Teal, unhealthy father-daughter relationships, and sports content you don't care about, Double Teamed is the movie you remember liking, but you're not sure why. Sports are everywhere! Let us have the Disney Channel without sports content! Enough sports!!!!!!

We also chat Lizzie McGuire and Reboot Culture, more shenanigans from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and where the f has our fave Alyson Stoner been?!

Shoot us (ha) a DM on Instagram @dcomgroupies, or email us your starting roster (???) of DCOMs you love at [email protected].

Our last pre-recorded ep until we get back into the PRESSIN' Disney News.

A Disney Channel Premiere film that has: 1) no clear moral 2) sechuality 3) Katherine Heigl 4) magic = A GREAT EPISODE FOR US TO RECORD but not a great movie to watch so just listen to this ep and do not watch the actual film!

Want to know if your favourite DCOM's aged well, even a little bit, as this one surely did not? Send us your requests at [email protected]!

BONJOURNO! (Italian for "we back yo!")

Our hiatus is o-ver and we came back just in time to discuss how our hiatus couldn't have come at a worse time for Disney news since SO much has happened. Oopsie! We catch up on what's been going on in our lives and then discuss Stuck in the Suburbs, one of the very finest Disney DCOM's the world has been sleeping on. It's just Taran Killam as a Bieber-esque popstar and we're attracted?????

Sing us your truths (both the pop version and the acoustic guitar version) on insta and twitter @dcomgroupies, or email us at [email protected]

2018 is over, we're outta the woods/in the clear, but we're immediately hopping back in Sexy 2019 Phil of the Future's time machine for a trip to 1996 B.D.E. (Before DCOM Era....#thankunext) to look at our first Disney Premiere joint, Susie Q. With more awkward nudity than your average DCOM joint, but just the usual amount of sassy siblings, dead parents, and basketball tournaments, Susie's a doozy!

Picture this: a cute made for TV Christmas movie, but it's Not Good! We're takin' it back to the year 2000 when Santa had a summer home in LA that he lived in (not in the summer) and when Brenda Song was not given the chance she deserved to shine! How did Disney, the maker of all great TV movies mess up the literal easiest genre of TV movie out there? Not fierce!

Not since Hilary and Christy has there been a DCOM pairing as powerful as (Bitch I’m) Bella Thorne and Zendaya, of Meechee fame, starring in the 2012 triptych FRENEMIES, a movie so off-the-mark it seems like it was written by someone who’s never??? had???? a friend????????? (Says Rebecca: “Less pleasant than a frenema!”)

Still, if you want to hear about Love, Simon’s origin story, or a lukewarm Parent Trap rehash, or a poodle named Beyonce, you’re gonna wanna listen to this one!

And give us some frenemail at [email protected]

Being normal is VASTLY overrated....but is this Halloween classic? This week, the Disney Channel Original Groupies take a trip to Halloweentown, where the only thing scarier than the monsters is how low their costume budget seemed to be! We cover it all from Debbie Reynolds appreciation to some spoooooky Harry Potter parallels, and as always, we're much more Bubble Bubble than Toil and Trouble

We're starting DCOGtober off right with bb woke queen Rowan Blanchard, and we're starting it off WRONG by reviewing her work in Invisible Sister, which asks the question: What if ghosts, but science?

Also: HOW do you pronounce David Henrie?

When Lady Gaga sang “we’re far from the shallow now,” what she clearly meant to say was: DCOG is back and we’re doing our THIRD nautical-themed movie in a row!

In our Tiger Cruise ep, we:

-Deep dive into the HSM reboot

-Issue a heartfelt apology to Dylan Sprouse

-Read some gorgeous fan mail

-Offer a critical analysis of a young Hayden Panettiere’s acting choices
