Disney Plus Reviews

It's your unofficial Disney+ podcast, reviewing the most popular stuff on Disney+!

We're reviewing the first season of "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" (longest name for a TV series EVER?) today on the show and we've got THREE guests to help us do that - Grant Youngsma, Katelyn Youngsma and Stephen Price! They go over ALL the details of season one (SPOILER WARNING!) and talk about their favorite moments, songs, etc. How does it compare to the movies and what were the biggest surprises in the show? What will happen in season two?

Also, what else have these guests been watching on Disney+?

We're reviewing the 2019 Aladdin movie that just came to Disney+ this past week, but it's impossible to talk about it without comparing it to the original, so Jack and Phil are discussing both movies at the same time. How was the CGI? Dancing? Singing? New characters? Extra plot points? Find out on this episode!

Also, what do we think about these live action remakes Disney is doing?

And, as always, they have some suggestions at the end for some other cool things to watch on Disney+.

It's undeniable - Pixar is most high quality animation studios of all time. In this episode, Phil & Jack are reviewing recent Pixar movies they've seen on Disney+ (Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Monsters, Inc) and expressing their feelings on their output overall (21 movies to date as of the time of this recording).

Also, why are some movies delayed on Disney+?

And, as always, they have some suggestions at the end for some other cool things to watch on Disney+.

2 Storm Troopers kill some time. IG-11 is the most assassiny droid ever. Cara Dune lets 1,000 blaster rounds fly. We get the Mandalorian's name and see his face! That's a big pile of Mando suits. And we finally get that jetpack scene we've been wanting. And, is that a darksaber?

We can't wait for season 2.

Greef needs The Mandalorian's help - sure, why not. We're getting the gang back together. The Child almost kills Cara. Bogwings are apparently really strong. The Client is dead and Moff Gideon is in charge now. Is Kuiil dead???

Oh, and IG-11 is more Rosie the Robot Maid than assassin droid now, apparently.

It's the OTHER bounty hunter's guild, apparently. A Devaronian, a droid and a Twi'lek walk into a prison ship... Everybody wants that helmet off. Burg breathes fire. This episode is half western and half horror movie. The hunters get hunted and the double-crossers get double-crossed. And there are X-wings - so sweet.

That one dude on the prison ship must get lonely.

Whaaaat - is that Mos Eisley? Okay, let's do this. Amy Sedaris and Ming-Na Wen rock as Peli and Fennec. We meet Toro in the Cantina. Speeder bikes, Tusken raiders, binocs, and dewbacks - this is a Star Wars fanboy's dream episode. Good thing he's got that beskar armor on.

And WHO is wearing those mysterious boots at the end???

Welcome to Sorgan, everyone! We've got... lots of farms. And raiders! What kind of cat is that? Cara Dune is a B.A. Omera really wants to de-mask The Mando. Is that an AT-ST? Everyone wants to stay on Sorgan except for our Mando friend, apparently.

Bad news, ya'll. You can't live here anymore.

The Child wants to eat that metal ball. That's a huge stack of beskar. We learn about The Way of the Mandalore and some whistling birds. Oh, THAT's why he hates droids. What are they doing to Baby Yoda? The Mando is a legit ninja. Greef's not as nice as we thought. And YES, you DO need to get you one of those jetpacks.

This is the way, my Mandalorian friends.
