During her third year studying medicine at King's College London, Aysha Ingar won the university's 2019 Idea Factory competition with her idea for Muslimah - the first app tailored specifically for Muslim women and their Islamic needs.
In addition to gaining support and guidance from the Entrepreneurship Institute team, Aysha won £2,000 to help get her business off the ground.
Aysha then went on to be selected for the prestigious King's20 Accelerator programme, where she continued to build and grow Muslimah.
In this episode, hear Aysha discuss:
💡 how Muslimah was born after she identified a gap in the market for an app catering to Muslim women's needs
📝 how she carried out market research to better understand the issue she was addressing
📱 how she scaled down her idea in order to get the product on the market faster and get feedback from her audience to develop it further
🌱 the path of personal development she went on, as she overcame her nerves and self-doubt
