Dissect That Film

It is time to venture into the Conjuring Universe as we travel back 10 years to James Wans' THE CONJURING. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Ed and Lorraine Warren, prolific paranormal investigators who travel to a small town in Rhode Island to investigate a house haunted by a demonic presence. Will they save the family that lives there? Or will the demon destroy them?

Join us as we dissect the film that continued to prove that James Wan is a great filmmaker and a great storytelling.

With the recent passing of the late, great Treat Williams, we decided it was the best time to discuss one of the most underrated monster movies out there, 1998's DEEP RISING. Late 90's CGI, campy performances and a lot of bloody goo, EVERYWHERE! Lets venture out to sea, party it up, fight a giant sea monster and dissect this gem of a film.

This is our debut episode of our Patreon EXCLUSIVE show over at our $5 tier, called THE MONSTER ZONE. We decided to give you all a little taste of what its all about. This is a show where we spin a wheel full of Monster movies, it chooses what we watch for the month, and you get 2 episodes a month of us talking about them. Simple enough. I hope you enjoy and let us know what you think.

Our good friend Leanne aka Piggy joins us once again to talk about Resident Evil as we dissect the latest in the franchise WELCOME TO RACOON CITY. Does it play to much into fan service and miss the mark or is this a true return to form for a franchise that we have described as a dumpster fire. Listen and decide for yourself as we venture back to Racoon City (hopefully)one last time.

We have come to the end of our SUMMER OF PIRATES series as we talk about the mostly forgotten 5th Pirates film, DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES. After 6 years Johnny Depp decided to return to the Caribbean for one final ride, giving us a fun time with a fun villain and beautiful visuals. Do you agree? Do you think its a good sequel or should this just not exist? Join us aboard the Black Pearl one final time as we go on an fun Caribbean adventure.

We're back for week 4 of the SUMMER OF PIRATES as we cover possibly the weakest film of the franchise so far, 2011's ON STRANGER TIDES. Does it feel like a continuation of the prior trilogy or is this just a Adventures of Jack Sparrow episode? We try to answer those questions and more on this weeks episode.

It's been 10 years since Fede Alvarez graced us with his remake of the 1981 classic and gave us a memorable film to say the least. Wyatt from Cinema Trip Reviews joins us to discuss whether or not this film lives up to the original or is it part of the pile of lackluster remakes that came out of the late 2000's, early 2010's. Let's go to the cabin in the woods once again and get groovy with 2013's EVIL DEAD.

It's week 3 of the SUMMER OF PIRATES series, and this week we are concluding the original trilogy with AT WORLD'S END. The final showdown between main players, a perfect bookend to a great trilogy and where Disney needed to stop. Join us as we break it down and sail the Caribbean once again. In the words of Davy Jones, "Do you fear deaath?" More than you know.

It's week 2 of our Summer of Pirates series as we climb aboard the Black Pearl for another adventure with Jack Sparrow and crew. New villains, new locations and more RUM! Does it hold up as a good sequel or it is flat in the water. Time to raise the Kraken and talk about PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST.

We sail into the summer by traveling to the Caribbean to become pirates, or more so catch up with our favorite cinematic pirates, by revisiting PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL on its 20th anniversary.
