  • Ep. 46: Limited Atonement // Tasting Lagavulin 11 (Nick Offerman Edition)

Justin and Blake sip Lagavulin 11 (Nick Offerman Edition) while discussing the doctrine of "Limited Atonement," or as some Reformed theologians prefer to call it, "Definite Atonement." They crack more than their fair share of puns in this limited engagement, and they'll probably need to atone for these jokes later...

This is the third episode in a series of five episodes examining the five points of Calvinism -- a reference to the acrostic "TULIP" which summarizing the Reformed "Doctrines of Grace" pertaining to salvation theology (or Soteriology). The Five points are:
    1. Total Depravity
    2. Unconditional Election
    3. Limited Atonement
    4. Irresistible Grace
    5. Perseverance of the Saints

Next week, we'll continue our exploration and discuss the "I" of TULIP: Irresistible Grace while sipping limited edition Lagavulin 16 year old whisky.

  • Ep. 45: Unconditional Election // Tasting Lagavulin 9 (GOT edition)

Continuing on in our journey through the five points of Calvinism, the guys discuss the second point in the acrostic: Unconditional Election. They read several key passages of Scripture and reflect upon the implications of this doctrine in life and other aspects of our theology. The duo sips Lagavulin 9-year old (game of thrones edition) and crack more than a few election jokes.

  • Ep. 44: Total Depravity // Tasting Lagavulin 8

Blake & Justin are joined by their part-time co-host Eric as they sip Lagavulin 8 year old, discuss controversial whisky opinions, and deep dive into exegesis, Biblical theology, and Systematic theology. The trio shares some great laughs, as well as great reflection on the sweet salvation we have in Christ alone--and do their best to explain why they all affirm a Calvinistic Soteriology (Salvation Theology) by discussing fallen man's moral ability (or lack thereof) to choose God.

This is the first in a series of five episodes examining the five points of Calvinism -- a reference to the acrostic "TULIP" which summarizing the Reformed "Doctrines of Grace" pertaining to salvation theology (or Soteriology). The Five points are:
