Feeling a bit lost or distracted lately? 🧭 Pastor Lee is kicking off our "Centered" series by showing us how vision acts like our compass, keeping us focused and on track for what's ahead, especially when life gets wild!
We're diving into the powerful vision Pastor Chris Lodriguss (our Lead Pastor) has for The Tabernacle Church: to become a grove of mighty oak trees, displaying God's splendor! 🌳🌲 Rooted in Isaiah 61:3b, these are "oaks of righteousness," planted by the Lord.
What does that mean for you? It means being immovable, evergreen, a source of shade and life, standing strong as a display of God's strength no matter what storms come your way. You're called to see yourself as an "oak of righteousness" right where you are – in your school, job, neighborhood, and family!
These "oaks" have a huge purpose: to build up ancient ruins, raise up former devastations, and repair ruined cities – bringing transformation to generations!
Pastor Lee breaks down our assignment as oaks:
- Five things we're anointed to proclaim (or "say"): Good news to the poor, liberty to the captives, freedom to the prisoners, the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of His vengeance.
- Five things we're called to do to bring transformation: Bind up the brokenhearted, comfort those who mourn, give beauty for ashes, oil of gladness for mourning, and garments of praise instead of heaviness.
The ultimate goal in all of this? To produce more oaks of righteousness – more plantings to display God's splendor and glory!
You are God's Plan A – called and anointed with His power to be an agent of change in the world.
Join us and discover how you can embrace this process and be the powerful, life-giving oak God created you to be! Your life truly can be a display of His splendor and bring transformation to others.
