Jeramey and I talk about our normal treatments and goals with opioid overdoses, and a new drug " Medetomidine" that is starting to appear. This is resistant to Narcan, and we talk about how we would manage patients like this.

In this episode I do a follow up from Step Lightly or Carry a Big Stick. Let's talk about the risk with different medications used for sedation, and how we do what's right for our patients and ensuring their safety. We also talk about the none ALS measures that we can utilize and how to help our partner with their ALS interventions and skills.

Let's talk about how to deal with some of these patients that don't want our help, or are not able to comprehend what is happening around them. These patients can be un-cooperative and can require a delicate touch. Between de-escalation, a little bit of detective work, or even brute force if needed. This episode I talk about a recent call, that could have gone bad and some similar scenarios that we may be able to employ other techniques to de-escalate and gain trust!

Jeramey and Will discuss TXA is the pre-hospital setting. We review several trials and studies looking at both the good and the bad of the trials and talk about out own personal opinions on this medication.
