Your life will have plenty of waiting in it. Waiting on the Lord is not seasonal; it is a daily discipline. But sowing is a season, and so is reaping. And if you sow patiently and obediently as God wills, you will soon find yourself reaping a day of suddenly.

When you are nothing, you will ask for everything just like a little child. A little child looks to a parent for everything because he has nothing and can do nothing. Courage, fellow nothing! Our Father has everything and delights to take care of His children.

We have the choice to strive to be something or to let go and be nothing. And only one opens the door to God's Everything! The Promised Land waits only for us to believe and receive, which a "something" won't do. So why do we struggle against being nothing?

We fight being nothing, so sure that we really must be something! How strange then to discover that being nothing opens the door to getting everything. God is everything! He waits only for His children to stop trying. Have you let God be your everything?

We have a responsibility to bring God's sovereignty into the world, and that's exactly what we do when we pray, "Thy kingdom come." The kingdom is ruled by the Sovereign, the King of kings! What a tremendous privilege we've been given in this prayer.

The ancient Irish druids with their nature-worshiping, pagan ways were no match for the sovereign God of St. Patrick. And there's a lesson here for us! We overestimate the enemy and underestimate the power of God within the humble vessel of one who loves Him.

First came sheep, then a trip to Ireland, and more sheep! God's sovereign hand moved Martha across the sea to reveal a spiritual heritage she never dreamed. What adventure awaits you? What mystery will God unveil? What sight is His delight to share with you?
