We can live in this life being a child, receiving and believing. The Lord so delights in confounding His children with His amazing sufficiency and simplicity. All we have to do is believe.

God gives us more work than we can possibly do because He longs that we would lean on His life to perform our work. This is the New Covenant. He does the work He asks us to do.

How often do we make even prayer a work to DO? Our God so longs for us to just do the work of belief rather than making prayer a duty. Truly He gives us the prayer, does the praying, giving the impetus for the prayer, ours is just to wait until He comes.

Making our responsibilities into a work to perform assures our failure. The origin of our work must be love for Him. Christ wants to be our work and responsibility.

The origin of our work must be the Life of Christ. Work can be such an idol but God has called us all to enter rest. The sabbath rest is the Life of Christ.

The Lord is so passionate to love us but often we can find ourselves burdened in work to be loved. It's just so difficult to simply "Let Him Love Me!"

Many have left the church because they're unsatisfied, looking for the Living God and seeking experience. The real Spirit of the Living God is so dynamic, interesting and alive. But there is a counterfeit.

Many get so caught up in study of the words that they fail to meet the person the Word was written by and about. We must have both the Spirit and the Word to experience the Life of Christ.

As spiritual men and women we must have the Spirit and the Word. To focus on either our spiritual experience or the words on the page is to miss the Person of Christ which is the purpose of our spiritual life.

Our desperation is so great. We so yearn to experience and know Christ. This hunger is born of the Spirit. But there's a balance of true Christianity and knowing Jesus. Martha and John discuss the prevalence of the churches focus on either the Word or the Spirit but not knowing Christ.
