This week Jane and Landry talk to Candace Marie. Candace stems from a family lineage of intuitives, tracing her heritage back to modern day Romania. Her practice is uniquely curated, with a combination of traditional as well as modern day forms of divination. Her services include but are not limited to; Clairvoyant readings, Tarot readings, Mediumship readings, Astrology readings, Tea leaf readings, Palm readings, Past life readings, candle dressing, practical magic, & Spiritual healings.

As of recent years Candace has studied herbalism with the sole intent of utilizing the metaphysical traits of herbs for use in magic. She is traditionally trained in candle dressing & intention setting magic. Candace is a practicing Reiki practitioner & conducts her own modality of healing, combining spiritual cleansing & magical intent based ceremonies in Ceremonial Arcane Healings.  As of 2016 she has become a death midwife, & has dedicated time in spiritually counseling those who are terminally ill & dying. Candace was one of Los Angeles's select psychic readers on Lauren Lapkus's "Psychic Pshow", for her clairvoyant tea leaf reading session in 2015, with actress Lauren Lapkus. 

She appeared as a guest host of Elite Daily's, Astrology & Dating series in 2015. Giving expert advice on the zodiac signs & dating, as a follow up to Elite Daily's "What your zodiac sign says about your dating habits''.  She was a special guest for VICELAND's "F*CK, THAT'S DELICIOUS" with star Action Bronson in April 2016. In April of 2017 she was the filmed for VICE TV for the show "Twiz & Tucks Bucket List".

Candace was featured on Jessica Fox's "The Art of Feeling Better; Magic", in Fall of 2015 and critically acclaimed for her ceremonial healing sessions.

Ivy Norris has earned her Doctorate of Divinity and Doctorate of Metaphysics, after 20 years of specific practices, teaching and service through the School of Metaphysics. She is a certified Natural Health Practitioner through Trinity School of Natural Health, Certified in Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique, CranioSacral from the Upledger Institute, as well as the Raindrop Technique. She enjoys a full-time Holistic Health practice in Tulsa, OK, regularly providing classes, hands-on treatments and counseling to support an increased quality of life for the community there.

The heart of her practice is identifying patterns that interfere with the fullest expression of her clients and aiding them to transition into healing patterns that tap into their natural capacity for prevention, wellness and self-awareness. The main tools to support this are the Young Living therapeutic-grade essential oils, Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique, breathwork, muscle testing, and visualization.

Karma-Metta (David Beach); Is an American Buddhist Practitioner within the Vipassana tradition of Theravada-American Buddhism. He is an experienced Teacher, Speaker, Workshop, and Retreat Director. Many years ago, while battling an opioid addiction, he was charged and incarcerated for drug related offenses. He used that time as a means for confronting the suffering that his addiction caused. Pursuing his interest in the teachings of The Buddha, and establishing a regular Meditative Practice, David claims to have experienced a True Freedom that transcended any bars or fences which may have surrounded him. Prior to his release, David along with a small group of inmates, received the “Transmission of Dharma” and “Refuge” ceremony, conducted by Anglican Buddhist Nun, Sr. Ellie Finlay (Director of St. Johns Center for Spiritual Formation). Unable to find many local resources to support his practice, David Founded a recovery support Sangha; "The Middle Path Group" centered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the last eight years, he and a team of instructors have offered teachings in Insight Meditation and weekly Dharma Talks to hundreds of attendees. David lives with his wife, son, and dogs in Tulsa and continues to teach and speak on the integration of Mindful Awareness into our daily lives and its powerful impact on the recovery process.

This week Jane and Landry talk to Phil Borges. He's spent over twenty-five years Phil Borges documenting indigenous and tribal cultures, striving to create an understanding of the challenges they face. He has hosted television documentaries on indigenous cultures for Discovery and National Geographic channels. Phil’s recent project, CRAZYWISE, explores the relevance of Shamanic traditional practices and beliefs to those of us living in the modern world. CRAZYWISE centers around a young man struggling with his sanity, world renowned mental health professionals, and a gutsy survivor-led movement...all challenging a mental health system in crisis.

Phil’s program Stirring the Fire has produced several short documentaries, a book and an exhibition highlighting some of the extraordinary women worldwide who are breaking through gender barriers and conventions in order to enhance the well being of their communities.

In 2000 Phil founded Bridges to Understanding, an online classroom program that connects youth worldwide through digital storytelling in order to enhance cross-cultural understanding and help build a sense of global citizenship in youth. He also co-founded Blue Earth Alliance, a 501c3 that sponsors photographic projects focusing on endangered cultures and threatened environments.

Phil graduated from University of California as a Regents Scholar in 1969 and was honored with their prestigious University of California Medal in 2004. He lives with his family in Seattle.

This week, on Divine Heretics, Jane and Landry talk to Jim Palmer, a contemporary spiritual teacher and critically acclaimed author. Jim often works with people who are experiencing a crisis offaith or seeking to explore spirituality beyond the parameters of organized religion. As a speaker, educator and person in his community, Jim is a catalyst for interfaith dialogue and action. Regardless of one's religious, spiritual or philosophical background, Jim believes all people can find common ground and goodwill in their shared humanity, to work together in creating a more peaceful and just world. Jim is an ordained minister, receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Divinity School in Chicago. After serving several years as the Senior Pastor of a non-denominational church, Jim left professional ministerial life on a quest for a more authentic spirituality, and has authored five books about his journey. In addition to writing, speaking and his spiritual direction practice, Jim is an adjunct professor in the areas of Ethics and Comparative Religion.
