Self gratification, it’s what we live for, right?  Take care of  the old #1 at all costs?  Is that what we have been taught?  Sounds  good to us.  Sounds like the right thing to do, right? Wrong.

Living  this type of life can seem to reap rewards, in this life, but it opens  you up to fall into spiritual sin, when it comes to our Lord, and your  eternity.

Work, a word most people just do not care to hear.  Why is this.  It  makes us sweat; it makes us hurt, it takes our time from the things that  pleasure us.  These are all negative things and it is the wrong way to  feel about this word.  Work is what brings us forward in life.  If we do  not work then we stay sedentary which destroys our mind, bodies, and  most importantly, our spirit. Proverbs 13:4  (ESV) The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

Human beings are a distinctive creation. We are all crafted in His  (God’s) image.  In the Bible it says, “Then God said let us make man in  Our image, according to Our likeness”, (Gen 1:26).  We all have  our own quirks, and no two people are exactly alike, (even identical  twins). However, our basic body structure, (the insides), are all  inherently the same.

In six divine days God All Mighty created the Heavens and the Earth, (including the Universe).  Which is where the phrase, “Let There Be Light,” comes into play.  Whereas all the Universe was created out of nothing.

Happiness, That is a really loaded word. Isn’t it? It can come in so  many forms and deceive in so many ways. It is what we all strive for,  but have no clue how or why it is not sustainable throughout every day  of our life. This, I am sure has been a mystery since the fall of man in  God’s eyes. Temporary happiness is easy enough to achieve, however it  never seems to last.

We as a people have the tendency to make things difficult for  ourselves. We have become hardened to simplicity and we sometime think  it doesn’t exist.

Have you ever wondered when you read about people in the news, what  makes them different? Two families in the exact same situations coming  out with different endings.

To give an example, I read the other  day where a family was going through some financial hard times, (we’ve  all been there). They are losing their house. The husband lost his job  because he got laid off. He is the main support for the family since his  wife has been staying home with the kids for years. The father doesn’t  see any relief coming in the near future and thinks all is lost.

Becoming one with Christ is something we as Christians struggle  with every day.  This is something man has struggled with ever since  our Savior started His ministry just under 2000 years ago.

First,  what we need to understand is that Christ was God in human form.  He  was a piece of God the Almighty, our Creator, our Father.  He possessed  the strength, will, and endurance to do what us as mere humans could  never dream of doing.
