EP 54: Have You Intellectualised Healing and Accidentally Not Healed at All?

You can understand your attachment style, childhood wounds and relationship patterns exceptionally well. But has that understanding actually changed the way you're living?

In this episode, I'm exploring the difference between understanding your past and genuinely transforming your life.

    In this episode:

    • Why self-awareness and understanding your patterns aren't the same as changing them.
    • How healing can become an intellectual exercise rather than something we embody.
    • Why decades of conditioning won't disappear after one book, podcast or breakthrough.
    • What it means to disrupt familiar beliefs, behaviours and emotional responses.
    • Why real transformation requires practice, repetition and time.
    • How to stop becoming an expert in your past and start creating a different future.

You don't need another year of understanding your past. You need a year of creating your future.

  • EP 53: Give Yourself A Year Post-Separation

You’re going to spend the next twelve months somewhere. The question is, who will you be when you get there?

Real transformation after separation isn’t simply about time passing. It’s about staying committed to the process long enough to become someone different.

In this episode, I’m talking about:

    • Why wanting to change and actually changing are two very different things.
    • Why achieving your goals often takes longer and requires more of you than you initially expected.
    • The importance of being detached from the timeline but committed to the goal.
    • Why old patterns, fear, self-doubt and life’s challenges can pull us off the path.
    • Why awareness alone doesn’t create lasting transformation.
    • How ongoing coaching helps you stay committed when motivation fades and life gets uncomfortable.
    • Why I’ve created AfterGlow as a 12-month coaching experience rather than offering once-off sessions.

Give yourself a year. Not just to rebuild your life, but to become the person who can create the life you actually want.

  • EP 52: When Post-Separation Freedom Meets Post-Separation Responsibility

    When Freedom Meets Post-Separation Responsibility

There comes a point after divorce where the question changes from:

What am I finally free from?

    to:

What am I responsible for creating now?

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why freedom and transformation aren’t the same thing
    • How your life can change while your old patterns remain
    • The difference between responsibility and blame
    • Why understanding a pattern isn’t the same as changing it
    • Taking responsibility for the boundaries, relationships and choices you make next
    • Moving from simply rebuilding your life to consciously creating it
    • The question that eventually matters most: Who are you becoming?

  • EP 51: THE IN-BETWEEN VERSION OF YOU. Who Are You When You’re No Longer Who You Were — But Haven’t Become Who You’re Going To Be?

Who Are You When You’re No Longer Who You Were — But Haven’t Become Who You’re Going To Be?

There is a version of you that exists after your marriage ends that we don't talk about enough.

    The in-between version of you.

You're no longer who you were inside your marriage, but you haven't fully become who you're going to be yet.

In this episode, I'm exploring the identity shift that can happen after divorce — and why rebuilding your life isn't necessarily about getting back to who you were before.

Sometimes you're being asked to become someone you've never been before.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why the old version of you can feel so tempting after divorce — even when you know you've outgrown them
    • The difference between changing your circumstances and actually changing yourself
    • Why feeling lost can sometimes mean you're simply between versions of yourself
    • Outgrowing old relationship patterns, friendships, environments and identities
    • What happens when your career, financial goals and ambitions begin changing too
    • Why transformation after divorce can extend far beyond healing from your ex
    • How the choices you're making now are creating evidence for the person you're becoming
    • Why you can honour who you've been without continuing to live as them
    • The question worth asking when your old life has ended: Who am I becoming because my old life no longer exists?

Divorce changes your circumstances. Transformation changes you.

  • EP 50: The Cost to the Feminine: What Did You Really Lose in the Heartbreak?

When we talk about heartbreak, we tend to focus on the obvious losses—the relationship, the marriage, the financial cost, the future we thought we were going to have that's now gone.

But what about the parts of you that disappeared in the marriage and in the heartbreak?

In this episode, I explore the deeper cost heartbreak has on a woman - her feminine side: her self-trust, innocence, playfulness, belief in men, belief in herself, openness, desire and ability to receive.

  • EP 49: Why Women Are Decentering Men — And Returning To Themselves

Why Women Are Decentering Men — And Returning To Themselves

I'm seeing an interesting shift happening amongst women right now.

    Women are decentering men.

    In this episode, I explore:

    • Why I'm seeing more women decenter men.
    • The difference between decentering men from wounding versus healing.
    • How to recognise when you've moved into your healed feminine.
    • Why losing the need to be chosen can initially feel surprisingly strange.
    • What happens to all that emotional bandwidth when you're no longer thinking about, chasing, keeping or looking for a man.
    • Why being closed to men isn't the same as being healed.
    • The difference between hyper-independence and genuine self-sufficiency.
    • Why the healed feminine doesn't chase or perform for love.
    • What feminine magnetism actually is—and why it has very little to do with appearance or sex appeal.
    • Why loving yourself, loving your life and being open to life itself can make you deeply magnetic.
    • How you know when “the hook” is finally gone—the need to be chosen, validated, saved or financially secured by somebody else.
    • The difference between love that validates and love that has the foundations to last.
    • Why feminine leadership isn't about becoming less powerful, ambitious or independent.
    • How decentering relationships can accidentally lead you towards the biggest, fullest version of your own life.

🤍 If you're ready to heal the relationship patterns that keep hooking you and step into a more self-led version of yourself, this is exactly the work I do through my private 1:1 coaching.

  • EP 48: Why Strong Women Often Attract Takers In Relationships

In this episode, I unpack a relationship dynamic I see repeatedly in my coaching: the over-functioner and the taker.

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why over-functioners and under-functioners can be so attracted to each other.
    • How your competence can hide a partner's lack of contribution.
    • Why constantly stepping forward prevents you from seeing whether your partner would step forward without you.
    • The difference between genuine strength and self-abandonment.
    • Why receiving can feel so uncomfortable for women who are used to doing everything themselves.
    • How stronger boundaries change not necessarily who is attracted to you—but who gets to stay.
    • What happens when you stop asking, "How do I make this relationship work?" and start asking, "Is this relationship actually right for me?"

If you recognise yourself in this episode and you're ready to change the patterns you're repeating in love, I'd love to support you.

The Four Most Dangerous Words Keeping You Stuck After Divorce

The stories you tell yourself shape the life you create.

Episode 46: The Woman I Had To Become Before I Could Build Wealth

Most women believe wealth begins with money.

    I don't.

I believe wealth begins with the woman.

In today's episode, I'm sharing one of the most personal financial decisions I've ever made.

When my marriage ended, I left with money.

Everyone around me gave me the same advice.

    Buy a house.

    Return to dental hygiene.

    Play it safe.

    Protect what you have.

    Instead...

    I chose something completely different.

    I invested in myself.

    I backed my dreams.

    I built a business.

I embraced uncertainty instead of certainty.

And in doing so, I realised something that completely changed the way I think about wealth.

My greatest investment was never property.

    It wasn't business.

    It wasn't the stock market.

It was becoming the woman capable of creating wealth.

In this episode, we explore why financial freedom is built through identity first, why courageous decisions often feel uncomfortable, and how your relationship with money may be shaped far more by your mindset than your circumstances.

If you've ever wondered why some women create extraordinary wealth after divorce while others remain stuck in survival mode, this conversation is for you.

    In this episode we cover:

    • Why leaving my marriage with money didn't automatically create financial freedom.
    • The advice everyone told me to follow—and why I chose a different path.
    • The difference between protecting money and creating wealth.
    • How fear quietly disguises itself as "being sensible."
    • Why financial growth rarely feels safe.
    • The financial identity shift that changed everything.
    • What almost losing my business taught me about true wealth.
    • Why I believe wealth begins with the woman—not the money.

If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear your biggest takeaway.

Send me a message on Instagram @carladacostacoach or share this episode to your stories and tag me so I can thank you personally.

And if you're ready to upgrade your financial identity and begin creating wealth from the inside out...

I'd love to welcome you inside Become the Woman Who Builds Wealth.

  • EP 45: Are You Thinking Too Small About Your Life Post-Separation?

Are You Thinking Too Small About Your Life Post-Separation?

In this episode, Carla explores how survival mode can quietly shrink our vision for what's possible and why so many women underestimate the future they are capable of creating.

    In this episode, we discuss:

✨ Why survival can quietly become an identity

✨ The difference between safety and possibility

✨ Why rebuilding your life isn't the same as rebuilding yourself

✨ How women unintentionally think too small after separation

✨ The question that changes everything: What would you love your life to look like 12 months from now?

✨ Why capability isn't the problem for most women — vision is

✨ How to start imagining a future bigger than your past

If you've been focused on healing, rebuilding and simply getting through, this conversation is your invitation to dream again.

Because the goal was never just to survive your separation.

The goal was to create a life that excites you.
