Almost exactly one year ago I posted the first part of this mix and it has been my most popular Podcast ever and has been downloaded several hundred thousand times in the past year. These Podcasts contain some original versions, and remixes of many of the big tracks from the the early/mid Nineties when "Techno" music first got it's name. All except for track 10, which has a very "techno" sound and it worked well with the other tracks so I included it. If you like this Podcast, be sure and check out the first part which is still available on this site if you scroll down almost to the very end. Enjoy this trip into a very fun time period of music :)

This Podcast was made possible mainly due to Producer Greg Womack, who put together an amazing collection of remixes of Patrick's work and made it available for the King of Spins DJ group that I am happy to be a part of. This was done specially for WORLD AIDS DAY which is December 1st. Patrick Cowley was an amazing talent who was way ahead of his time and had a tremendous influence on dance music. Unfortunately, he left us much too soon on 11/12/82. His legacy lives on with the huge body of work he left behind that is still played and enjoyed today. If you enjoy this mix, and can make a donation in Patrick's name (or any loved one you have lost to this disease), please go to www.worldaidsday.org and donate whatever you can...the world will be a better place because of it :)

Many of these are the original artists, some are even the original remixes (i.e. Pet Shop Boys...didn't want to mess with perfection.) A few of them are really well done covers...so, take a trip down memory lane :)

I was going to record a BEE GEES TRIBUTE MIX after the recent passing of Maurice Gibb, but, before I could, I received this wonderful tribute mix through one of the dj sites I am a member of. Since it was licensed to be used on radio shows and podcasts, I decided to share this mix with all of you. This mix includes many of Jimmy Michaels remixes of their songs and is a great retrospective of this amazing band. I hope you all enjoy this and I'll be posting a brand new mix by the end of this week before I leave on vacation :)

Took a road trip to Sedona last week and really enjoyed listening to some trance while driving...really seemed to go along with the speed of the car. And, happy to say...no speeding tickets ;) Anyway, as Julie Andrews once sang, "These are a few of my favorite things"...well, these are definitely a few of my favorite trance tracks of all time. Tried recording this last night but the loudness of the bass caused my house to vibrate so much that my cd burner malfunctioned ;( So...tried again this afternoon and this time put a bath towel under it to keep the machine from vibrating so much and it worked!!! Enjoy :)
