DJ Mark Bisson's Podcast

NOT a dance mix, this is a relaxing mix of some of (in my opinion) the greatest cover versions of songs that have ever been recorded. Many of these (in my opinion) surpass the original versions that were recorded by the artist in parenthesis below. Some of them were included here more for their originality even though I still prefer the original recordings. I realize some of these songs were recorded by many artists and I simply picked my favorite version...hence the title of the podcast. It was fun putting this together and there are many songs that didn't fit so maybe in the future I will do another if there is enough interest. Also, I will start posting Christmas mixes, I have quite a few and will record at least one new one this year, in a few weeks so keep on the lookout. Peace & Love,MarkPERSONAL FAVORITES - COVER MAGICby DJ MARK BISSON1. wealth - lone wolf (talk talk)2. sacrifice - sinead o'conner (elton john)3. hurt - johnny cash (nine inch nails)4. sweet jane - cowboy junkies (velvet underground)5. because the night - bruce springsteen (patti smith)6. valerie - amy winehouse (the zutons)7. me & bobby mcghee - janis joplin (kris kristofferson) 8. to sir with love - 10,000 maniacs (lulu)9. both sides now - joni mitchell (judy collins)10. the ghost in you - duncan sheik (the psychedelic furs)11. nothing compares 2U - sinead o'conner (the family)12. get here - oleta adams (brenda russell)13. hallelujah - jeff buckley (leonard cohen)14. home - stephanie mills (stephanie mills/broadway, diana ross/film)15. georgia on my mind - annie lennox (hoagy carmichael)16. everybody's talkin' - harold melvin & the blue notes (fred neil)17. theme from the valley of the dolls - kd lang (dionne warwick)for promotional purposes [email protected]

Been quite some time since I recorded and posted a new mix...been busy with summer, etc. The good news is that yesterday I recorded a brand new mix that should have a lot of familiar tunes, just in a little different form. Many of them are remixes or reworks of classic disco, 80's and 90's along with some brand new recent songs. In this mix you will hear QUEEN, DAVID BOWIE, XPANSIONS, BEE GEES, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE f/ GRACE SLICK, double dose of DONNA SUMMER, GIORGIO MORODER, ALEX PARTY cover, SUPERTRAMP,  GLORIA GAYNOR cover, CANDI STATON, ELTON JOHN, DUA LIPA, JANICE ROBINSON, EVELYN 'CHAMPAGNE' KING, LINDA CLIFFORD, MARTHA WASH, and JACKIE MOORE. That is a lot of music history in one 79 minute mix...enjoy! Peace & Love, Mark
