DJ Mark Bisson's Podcast

Another mix of uplifting music, this one is a bit more on the progressive side. I borrowed the title of this mix from the amazing song I closed this mix with from legends LOLEATTA HOLLOWAY & JOCELYN BROWN. With the continuation of this most insane time on this planet in our lifetime, it has never been more important (IMO) to focus on what we can do to be the best expression of ourselves and become the better world we need. Be careful what you believe and give your power up to these days, the truth is out there. Stay safe. Peace & Love, Mark

I thought I'd post another "uplifting" mix of music. Now that, here in California, we are in a mandatory 2 week quarantine there is lots of time for things like listening to music, TV, reading, spending time outside in nature, sleeping, and just doing things that our busy lives take us away from sometimes. In the past few years, and especially this past year, I've been practicing meditation. It has been very interesting, to say the least, and something that definitely takes a lot of practice. I must say, especially during these last few weeks, it has helped me tremendously. So, whatever your spiritual or religious or even non-beliefs, there's never been a better time to do some self introspection and really take some time to get to know and love yourself. It will also help you love and appreciate those around you even more.

Peace & Love,

Mark

Considering the troubled times on this planet of ours, I wanted to post one of my more uplifting mixes. I thought this one was appropriate. I can't recall a time, in my lifetime at least, when I've felt how connected we all truly are here on Planet Earth. It couldn't be a better time to demonstrate love, compassion, acceptance, understanding, caring, and all of those higher emotions. My intention is that this music may offer some peace and comfort, and I want you to know how much I appreciate all of you who take the time to listen to the music that is my passion. Peace & Love, Mark

Of all the bands originating in the 1980's I would have to say TALK TALK was my favorite. Spanning 10 years (1981 - 1991) and 5 albums, they have an amazing body of work. I was very sad to hear of the passing of lead singer Mark Hollis on 2/25/19 at the age of 64. I had always hoped the band would someday get back together and perform since I never had an opportunity to see them live. I decided to take all my favorite tracks from their first 3 albums and put them into a Podcast. Most are the original extended versions of their tracks along with several b-sides that were never on albums. If you've never heard their last 2 albums (SPIRIT OF EDEN and LAUGHING STOCK), do yourself a favor and check them out. While the style of music is totally different, they are absolutely brilliant and sound as good as ever today. Very chill type music but incredible. I hope you enjoy!
