This was a promotional mix that had 2 parts that I did way back in 2008 for NOIZE MAGAZINE. This is the first part which is a lighter T-Dance style mix with the second part being more peak hour. A couple weeks ago some friends and I put ticket requests in to see MADONNA'S upcoming MADAME X tour which is going to be small venues in several major cities. Since I've only seen her in big stadium shows (not my favorite), I thought a small venue like the Wiltern (one of my favorite theaters) in LA would be a nice change. We just found out last week that we got tickets so I'm really excited to see this show. Several years back I recorded 3 Podcasts of my favorite remixes of her songs and this is the first one. On this, the anniversary of the passing of the QUEEN OF DISCO, I am posting 2 additional mixes that I recorded way back in 2006 and that I had thought they were lost but just found them this week. No other performer has had more of an influence on me than the QUEEN OF DISCO. I was shocked when she passes away on 5/17/12. It's hard for me to believe in a few days it will be 7 years since her passing. She left behind such a massive legacy of her work which I still continue to enjoy and listen to. After her passing I recorded 3 mixes focusing on different periods of her recording career. This is the first one and in the next few days I will post the other two. I hope you enjoy!

And, now for something completely different...a few years ago I decided to do a country themed dance mix. Some are actually country songs by the original artists remixed for dance, some are covers, and some just sound a bit country to me. I've never been too much into country music, but, I have to say that I rather enjoy these tracks and they actually opened me up more to this genre of music as a result of this mix.
